what new lands do you want to scout out this week?

[JIY Torah @JIYTorah]

we think we need to be guided by the size of the giants, but sometimes the little ones have the answers

[JIY Torah @JIYTorah]

Are you age 30-50? That's the ages of the Kohanim (Aaron's sons) & Levites (Kohathites, Gershonites, & Mererites) who served in the tent!

[JIY Torah @JIYTorah]

Yeah yeah Aaron's sons but Levy's sons are who important: gershon, kohath & merari. Stay tuned for why!!

[JIY Torah @JIYTorah]

this week we begin the book of bemidbar. so much of it discusses the levites, whereas leviticus talked about kohanim. backwards names, much?

[JIY Torah @JIYTorah]

what? the parsha skips a week? that's right - we have special out-of-order Pesach related Torah readings this week.

[JIY Torah @JIYTorah]

[JIY Torah @JIYTorah]

Do not eat fat or blood whether it be of fowl or of beast, in any of your dwellings...lest you be cut off from thy people. Yikes!
