I was at a recent investment banking seminar focused on Colorado; the biggest investment bank in America and people in the room gave a very clear message: do not put new money into the state.
Their reasons:
• The political and regulatory environment got an F.
• Fees and taxes together create one of the highest overall burdens in the country.
• The advice was not “be careful in certain sectors.” It was avoid all new investment.

In normal terms: the Colorado political system is toxic to Wall Street. And you may not care, but no investment means no new business or taxes. Where do the Democrats go? More taxes, and more businesses flee, no jobs, teachers, social services. In 1-Party rule the Democrats solution is more NGOs, but they don’t create anything, they drain everything.
