@Djoko_UTD Yeah…. I’m in this video playing against Nick and I can assure you I am nowhere near pro. This was a meet and greet where he played with fans. The event was to promote his new signature paddle with Vulcan.
No more Proton paddles for pros following an email sent out to players at this weeks PPA. It appears to be tied to contract disputes with the UPA-A. Is Proton fully leaving the pro game? Definitely one to keep an eye on. #ppa#proton
@ZaneNavratil@JimmyMiller_PB How many players on the PPA took the pay reduction? Whats the prize money? I heard there are no increased purses as the PPA originally had promised. Can this be confirmed or proven otherwise?
From what I’ve heard the APP only has two less tournaments than last year. The reason for this is that they lost two venues. To make up for the loss in venues they’re having four individual tournaments for the top 10 to 20 pros with much larger prize pools. These events sounds like they will occur a couple days before the regular scheduled tournament. APP also added 8 to 10 international tournaments that they did not host last year.
It sounds like Pro Pickleball as a whole is struggling. Seems like both tours are still losing money with no TV deals in place.
I’ve been noticing the same thing. However, the worst damage to my paddles was in Las Vegas at the last PPA. My theory was the super rough courts rip up the Lifetime ball more than past PPA balls like the Vulcan and the Dura Fast. My Boomstik’s infinigrit had multiple scratches and chips in the face after a very short stint in 4.0 singles.
@MrBeast I review pickleball paddles and have a podcast. Don’t really use twitter. I’m solely focused on YouTube. I also worked for the Iced Coffee Hour and we had you as a guest. I would love to be able to be an apart of this massive collaboration!
