Administrators who are unsuccessful, are so because they don't make relationships & staff morale a priority. Even if you didn't need a pat on the back doesn't mean it's not effective. Support, encourage, and appreciate your staff. Affirmation is powerful.

Teachers should NOT have to cover another class during their planning. This has been one of the biggest exploitation of teachers planning. Realistically, if they don't have planning time, when do you expect them to plan? and if they cover then they should be paid for coverage.

If the pandemic has done one thing for teachers,I hope it has pushed them past the point of being silent. Teachers need to speak up and take up for themselves. The days of being disrespected and treated poorly as a profession needs to end with the pandemic.
