Stone cold racism on a scale I have NEVER seen in my lifetime is happening in real time.
Louisiana Governor Landry suspended a primary election — where tens of thousands of people had ALREADY VOTED — to redistrict and eliminate Black representation.
Our country is supposed to be about the expansion of liberty and freedom. We're seeing the exact opposite.
"It was not Hitler or Himmler who abducted me, beat me, and shot my family. It was the shoemaker, the milkman, the neighbor, who received a uniform and then believed they were the master race."
— Karl Stojka, Auschwitz survivor
The Army Chief of Staff, a combat veteran with tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, asked Pete Hegseth why he was blocking the promotions of two Black officers and two female officers who had earned them.
Hegseth refused to answer. Then he fired him.
Nine U.S. officials told NBC News that Hegseth has blocked or delayed promotions for more than a dozen Black and female senior officers across all four branches of the military.
Hegseth has now fired or sidelined more than a dozen generals and admirals.
He is an out-of-control, unqualified former TV host and nobody in the Republican Party will say a word about it because they don’t want to make Trump angry.

Went to the grocery store this morning
Bread, milk, eggs
$47.63
The screen asked if I'd like to round up to support a children's hospital
I pressed no
The cashier looked at me
The woman behind me looked at me
My wife looked at the ceiling
Again
This company made $14 billion last year
They can round up
Went to get gas after
The pump asked if I'd like to add $1 to support veterans
I support veterans
I pressed no
A $200 billion oil company asking me to fund their charity while I'm paying $3.89 a gallon
That's not philanthropy
That's outsourcing
Drove through for lunch
Taco Bell
The screen said "round up for education?"
A fast food company asking me to fund scholarships while paying their employees $11 an hour
I pressed no
My wife said "you know you're arguing with screens today"
She was right
But the screens started it
Went to the pharmacy
Picked up a prescription
$340 after insurance
The screen asked if I'd like to donate $1 to help families in need
I just paid $340 for a medication that costs $4 to manufacture
And now you want a dollar
I pressed no
The pharmacist said "it's just a dollar"
I said "it's never just a dollar"
She didn't respond
Got home
My wife said "you said no to a children's hospital, veterans, education, and families in need today"
I said "no. I said no to four corporations who want me to fund their goodwill so they can put it in their annual report"
She was quiet
Then she said "you're not wrong"
I said "I know"
She said "but you're still going to look like a monster"
I said "I'd rather look like a monster than quietly fund a billion-dollar company's PR strategy at the register"
She didn't disagree
But she didn't look at me either
Plz fix. Thx.

BREAKING: A witness who was just 5 feet from Alex Pretti filed an affidavit depicting what she saw.
She says he didn’t touch any of the officers and didn’t appear to be resisting. He was merely helping a woman who had been pepper-sprayed.
She’s is terrified that ICE is looking for her, saying they are lying and she doesn’t know what they will do to her if they find her.
This #MLKDay, remember my father by:
Amplifying and advocating for the end of state-sanctioned and facilitated violence against Black and Brown immigrants and against people, period.
Speaking up for people who are suffering genocide in Sudan. Palestine, Congo, and other nations.
Calling and writing your Congresspersons in support of democracy as opposed to dictatorship.
Supporting policies to eradicate poverty (higher minimum wage, affordable housing, etc)
Learning the truth about and challenging anti-Black racism, which is still prevalent in healthcare, media, lending practices, the criminal “justice” system, etc.

When I was a kid, winning Sportsperson of the Year was pretty much the most prestigious sports award you could get.
Your peers are the best of the best across all sports, and to be selected among them is the highest honor.
Amazing to see SGA be recognized.
@ OU Fans...
This the best you can do?
All the off-season polls we win are pointless if we cant pull this off.
Don't be Twitter fake.
Get Tate his extra point.

On this day in 1921, a white mob lynched a 15-year-old Black boy named Robert Murtore after a local sheriff in Texas failed to protect him while he was in his custody.

9 years ago today: Baker Mayfield’s first win over Texas.
The Austin, TX native threw for 390 yards and 3 TD’s, and even rushed for a score, as OU won 45-40.
Dede Westbrook set an OU record with 10 catches for 232 yards and 3 TD’s, including a 71-yard score.
