OUTRAGEOUS: Legislative Democrats just advanced legislation to charge you a 2.6-cent mileage tax on EVERY MILE YOU DRIVE (HB 1921 & SB 5726). Even worse, you would get taxed on an additional 10% of your annual mileage tax sum. A TAX ON A TAX.

The mileage tax scheme comes from the Inslee-appointed WA Transportation Commission. Legislative Democrats are also not ruling out increasing the gas tax either. These terrible policies would especially harm people on fixed incomes, ride-share drivers, truckers, delivery services, and those living in rural areas.
