The goal of this device is to widen the legs so contractions help push the baby down. K seems to be pretty comfortable with this.

Time to up the rate on the epidural. 20% more. Hopefully should help. K is having some real pain in the back.

Ok. Doctor came in. Broke the bag thanks to the AmniStick (basically a plastic coat hanger). We are at 5CM dilated.

Pitocin upped. 8mU/min. K is doing good now. Just relaxing. Heart rates doing well too.

It’s epidural time. Anesthesiologist has arrived which means J is out of the room. This should really help K and shortly thereafter the pitocin should begin.
