Remembering Three Kashmiris from South Kashmir who were brutally killed by terrorists on this day.

On 7th July, we remember Fayaz Ahmad Rather, son of Abdul Gani Rather, resident of Lajurah, Pulwama, who lost his life in a terror attack at Uthoora in 2001; Fayaz Ahmad Rather, son of Ghulam Ahmad Rather, resident of Urwan, Pulwama, who lost his life in another terror attack at Urwan in 2003; and Jabbar Dar, son of Khaliq Dar, resident of Aglar, Shopian, who lost his life in cross-firing by terrorists at Aglar in Shopian in the year 1996.

Though these tragedies occurred in different years, they left behind the same enduring sorrow. Today, we remember them with respect and prayers, and stand with the families whose pain has never faded.

On 6th July, we remember Ghulam Mohammad Sofi of Wuyan, Ghulam Ahmad Yatoo of Kisrigam, Altaf Shah of Mohar, Reasi, Nazir Ahmad Mir of Rawalpora, Shopian, Ghulam Ahmad Dar of Gadipora, Shopian, and Mohammad Amin Bhat of Naibast, Shopian, who lost their lives in separate terrorist attacks across different years.

Though time has passed, the pain of their loss remains alive in the hearts of their families.

Today, we pay tribute to these six Kashmiris and stand in solidarity with their loved ones, whose grief has never faded.

For three Kashmiri families, 3rd July is remembered as a day of unimaginable loss and a black day.

On 3rd July 2003, Ghulam Nabi Dar, Son of Sonaullah Dar, Resident of Doroosa, Lolab, Kupwara, in North Kashmir, was killed by Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists near the Government Ration Store at Doroosa, leaving behind a family whose pain has never faded.

On 3rd July 2005, Farooq Ahmad Bhat, the son of Ghulam Qadir Bhat, a resident of Dadsara, Awantipora, in South Kashmir, was abducted and killed, and his disappearance left his loved ones facing immense grief and uncertainty.

Years earlier, on 3rd July 1991, Ranjan Kumar, Son of Roshan Lal, Resident of Ladhoo, Awantipora, lost his life in a terrorist attack at Ladhoo, devastating another family.

Different years, different places, but the same sorrow. Today, we remember Ghulam Nabi Dar, Farooq Ahmad Bhat, and Ranjan Kumar with respect and prayers, honouring their memories and standing in solidarity with the families who continue to carry the pain of their loss.

On 27 June 2021, Raja Begum, Wife of Fayaz Ahmad Bhat, and her daughter Rafia Fayaz, Daughter of Fayaz Ahmad Bhat, both residents of Hariparigam, Awantipora, lost their lives in a terror incident at Hariparigam, leaving an entire family devastated.

Years earlier, on 27 June 1996, Farooq Ahmad Sofi, Son of Late Mohammad Sultan Sofi, Resident of Wanpora, Pulwama, was abducted and later killed in a terror attack, leaving behind memories that still live on in the hearts of his loved ones.

On 27 June 1993, Gulzar Ahmad Ganie, Son of Abdul Aziz Ganie, Resident of DK Pora, Imam Sahib, Shopian, lost his life in a terror act at Hajipora. On the same day, Ghulam Hyder Khan, Son of Ghulam Mohammad Khan, Resident of Kerewa Manloo, Shopian, was also killed in a terror act at Nagbal.

Today, we remember Raja Begum, Rafia Fayaz, Farooq Ahmad Sofi, Gulzar Ahmad Ganie, and Ghulam Hyder Khan. Though years have passed, their memories remain alive, and the pain of their families continues to remind us of the human cost of violence.

On 28 June 1990, Oma Wati, wife of Durga Nath Bhan, and Mst. Babli, the wife of Ramesh Kumar Bhan, both residents of Drusoo, Pulwama, in South Kashmir, lost their lives in a terrorist attack at Drusoo. Their deaths left behind grieving families and a community forever marked by tragedy.

Years later, on 28 June 1998, Mohammad Ahsan Wani, son of Mohammad Akbar Wani, resident of Keegam, Shopian, lost his life in another terror act at Kerrewa, leaving another family to bear the pain of an irreplaceable loss.
