@utdrobbo The United bias is a bit too strong with dropping Anderson for Mainoo, as much as I would also like to see it.
Anderson had a good game in a great win, he shouldn't be dropped after that.
@Nufc2Everything Maybe in 10 years time with a bit of consistency and good finishes like spurs and all the other big 6 teams achieved, clubs like Newcastle might actually break into it.
You lot just want instant success because you have a rich owner, despite not long ago being promoted π€£
@PlayGameHead@PixleNomad@ewt3we123@geis_shane Like I said there are exceptions where studios are expected to make certain games e.g Forza, Gears etc, but there are many games that studios want to release and Xbox green light it, even when it's a niche concept.
They do allow creative freedom from concept to release.
@PlayGameHead@PixleNomad@ewt3we123@geis_shane Yes I know Xbox will have to look at the game and green light it, but there's a level of discretion and creative freedom owners/publishers give studios to make games that they want. They don't dictate every decision onto the studio. Phil Spencer said it himself, there's freedom.
@ManaByte With all that time, money and effort, if it does flop then why are we surprised studios are facing consequences?
Just like any job, if you fail and lose your boss a serious amount of money, heads will roll.
It's on the studios to produce actual good games that people enjoy.
@TheChaosUndone@PixleNomad@ewt3we123@geis_shane They can have the final decision but that doesn't mean they overpower the studio & tell them you can't do this you have to do that, especially when it's something the studio is passionate about
Obviously there will be certain situations where a studio is expected to do something
@TheChaosUndone@PixleNomad@ewt3we123@geis_shane Xbox do not dictate every single project a studio should or shouldn't start.
They have an influence, but they don't simply say you're making this game for us and not the one you actually want to make.
@PixleNomad@ewt3we123@geis_shane So you want the 'owner' to dictate every project a game studio can release, taking away any of their creative freedom???
@DestinLegarie But then people cry when a little bit of AI is used to help with costs and help reduce the time these games are taking.
Now we end up with studios closing with 100s of people losing their jobs rather than a few people losing their jobs to AI or reallocated to different projects.
@TalalHassam@FrankEra_@Polymath_16 You can't talk about transfers if you don't have a basic understanding of budgets and the finances of the club...
Saving Β£10m is a good thing as it could potentially be spent elsewhere, it's useful information.
@utdcynical If Anderson was the last piece to the puzzle then there's an argument for it. But not when basically half the team needs to be changed and that costs π°
@VisualFidelity Same way you can get the best quality on PC, does that mean you're going to buy the top of the range PC just to get the best quality for this? No
