.@Peston: That is a travesty of Kemi Badenoch’s position!
@RobertJenrick: No it isn’t.
Reform UK’s Robert Jenrick is shown @KemiBadenoch’s GMB interview and denies ‘manipulating’ a tragedy to score ‘petty political points’

Since we're talking airports: I'm Portuguese, and Lisbon's airport immigration is genuinely one of the worst first impressions of any country I know.
Two to four hour queues stretching across the entire terminal. People missing flights. Fights breaking out. Exhausted travelers off long-haul flights standing for hours with no water.
This is what greets every tourist and foreign investor Portugal spends millions trying to attract.
It's a solved problem. For example - Korea lets me in within 30 seconds with a pre-registration and a passport scan, and I'm not even a citizen. Lisbon could copy it tomorrow.
First impressions of a country shouldn't be a three-hour line.
Jews are victims of racist attacks on our streets
Where are the anti-racist marches in solidarity with Jews?
The left marches against every anti-racism EXCEPT antisemitism. SHAME!
I'm urging a mass march against antisemitism. Will the left support it?

This video illustrates so much. "do you know many Jewish people?" @BoyGeorge asks. Total silence. We represent less than 0.5% of UK society. Many just don't get who we were. Are. Don't want to either. Huge credit to @BoyGeorge for exemplifying speaking out and standing up for us
Please take 2 minutes to watch this.
On the one hand, you see incredible compassion, decency and moral clarity from @BoyGeorge, in showing solidarity with his Jewish friends, in wake of explosion of antisemitism.
But then there is the presenter @PatricKielty of @RTELateLateShow, who not only shows utter callousness and indifference, but then unconsciously and inexcusably, shifts the discussion to Gaza, as if that can ever justify or excuse the rampant Jew-hatred and violence we are seeing today.

👇 see this excellent thread from Oz Katerji.
Forensically ripping apart the dampening down of the rightful outrage that many feel around the Golders Green attack.
There is as Oz says, (and which our 13 years of work have shown), lots to be outraged around the rise of anti-Muslim hate.
But don’t downplay antisemitic hate crimes as he says.
In his very own Modest Proposal, former ambassador Sir Tony Brenton tells British Jews that if we don't like being firebombed, stabbed and shot, all we need to do is publicly submit to - and pass - his political purity test. Good-oh, Sir Tony.
Astounding, really. That in 2026 I must listen to a commentary and analysis like this. I don't necessarily disagree with it. This is hardly the ranting of a renowned right wing ideologue. Gosh. Terrible times.
'To Jewish families, more than 1000 years of history is bleak evidence that they are right to fear they will once again be on their own.'

We left the Pale and escaped to Whitechapel. We left Whitechapel and found Golders Green, a peaceful slice of suburban England that we could call home.
Peaceful, that is, until now.

There’s no “accused” about it - a politician being handed £5m IS a conflict of interest. Accepting such a gift is an open and shut case of not being interested in, let alone fit for, public service https://t.co/yVmoUkwpSE
- Two-thirds of Reform's money is wired from Thailand
- Ben Delo, pardoned by Trump for breaking money-laundering rules, has given £4m.
- Farage's secret £5m bung
A new model of politics is meeting an old model of transparency. With dangerous results: https://t.co/MKPSwt4VDu
A Green Party council election candidate has literally admitted to running an “Anne Frank” social media account in which she openly called for the extermination of Jews.
She is still a Green Party council candidate.
Golders Green is my local high street. It’s a great area, full of different cultures.
It’s a predominantly Jewish area and it’s a privilege as a non-Jew to live alongside such a warm and friendly community.
Since October 7th, there has been a visible increase in hostility towards the Jewish community. ‘Missing’ posters of relatives were torn down. Yellow ribbons removed from railings. ‘From the River to the Sea’ stickers plastered on lampposts. Verbal abuse in the street.
I’ve seen the fear grow in Jewish friends and neighbours, driven by political activists who have revelled in creating that fear. Enabled by others who are indifferent to the impact of their political bedfellows.
I hope they now appreciate the awful impact of their behaviour.
Saying ‘globalise the intifada’ isn’t just something that immediately identifies you as a dickhead, it is also a form of incitement.
If you say it, you are deliberately intimidating Jewish people.
Stop it, it’s vile.
Welcome and much needed clarity here from the Met Police about exactly what this is and who we are dealing with and not indulging in the usual gaslighting
Really, I'd love to know how to activate some of that *Jewish supremacy* I hear so much about on here to stop all this. Not sure what the fucking Elders of Zion are thinking about. It's almost as if British Jews are just a tiny vulnerable minority community living in terror.
