@DECfromOH VC Andrews! Why do I have so many memories of that series even though I never read it? Probably because of the painting that had the extra details when you opened the cover. Seems like every girl I knew read Flowers in the Attic. I loved Stephen King too, grade 7+.
@DECfromOH What types of books were you reading in elementary school? I’m not familiar with Lace.
I remember reading Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew and tons of Disney content through… I dunno, 4th grade? Then comics, movie and Doctor Who novelizations took over my life until junior high.
@J_Michael_Mull I agree that it’s too much. I used to go every other week but switched about 7 years ago to only 3-4 times a year and I’m better off for it.
@J_Michael_Mull Sadly I think it has disappeared from the Bay Area, along with stopping at the beginning of crosswalk. Now it seems everyone blocks it entirely as if pedestrians don’t exist.
@RyanJamesDee Agreed! I think this started as an “all twinks will eventually grow old and fat” (twink death) trend but then it got turned around to try and make it empowering instead.
@RyanJamesDee It’s a photo comparison trend of someone who used to be a twink (skinny) when they were younger and a current photo of how they look now (older, and presumably thicker).
This is a Bicerin, which I’ve never heard of before. Layers of sweet cream, espresso, and chocolate. BTW, this is not a decorative glass; it’s chocolate lining.
