All this Department of Government Efficiency talk has strong vibes of folks yelling "What are we spending on paper and copier ink?!?" at a church meeting to discuss why we can't make the budget. There are definitely improvements out there, but simple fixes for $2T are not.

The places where Harris got fewer overall votes than Biden are almost entirely the bluer states where the race was not in question. In the battleground states, she almost universally topped Biden in vote count - Trump just got many more than 2020.

We need to be so much more open to approaching facts without assuming our priors are infallible. All the mumbo jumbo about "20M fewer votes than Biden" on BOTH sides is so stupid and pointless - let's feed conspiracies instead of thinking anything through. 🧵

There are still likely around 10M outstanding votes - even at 50/50, that would put the final difference for Harris vs Biden at 7M, while Trump would have GAINED around 5M votes from 2020. In other words, some Biden voters stayed home or voted Trump .

@GOPJesusUSA @johnpavlovitz @thejackhopkins Anyone who’s worked a poll or bothered to pay attention knows that there are LOTS of people who show up and just vote the top of the ticket in Presidential elections. I’ve seen it personally here in MI, even when there is a straight ticket option. No conspiracy, just facts.

@john_marsh10 @emilykmay As just one example, I think preventing unwanted pregnancy is more impactful on abortion than banning abortions. You prevent that by supporting women's health funding, birth control, attacking poverty and housing inequality, and funding health care for all.

Kamala definitely does not represent all of my values, but I'm electing her President, not President of my synod. You can disagree, but I feel her policies are far better in a sinful world.

No one is waiting on my opinion. But I'm a white Christian man proudly voting Harris/Walz today. I'm hoping it's the last time I see Trump on my ballot. Character matters to me, and I will always vote for someone who demonstrates Christian love over one who just claims it.

@joepkipp I can't figure out why all the outrage is on Love (and somewhat the WRs, snaps, etc.). Game might have been over by the 4th down stop, but going pass 2x downs on 2nd and 1 at the 9 in the rain with a beast like Jacobs is coaching malpractice. Emblematic of a flawed approach
