A3: I have not given extra credit in years. Students were told that they should give all work their best effort and then I provide remediation and retakes. My goal was always to lessen the letter grade obsession and heighten the learning goal effort. #LBbooktalk

A2: I stopped penalizing late work years ago. Instead I put more focus on mastery, understanding that not everyone works or learns at the same pace. To help me manage the workload, I put in place checkpoints to keep them moving forward. #LBbooktalk
