🚨Reece James on Enzo Fernández joining Manchester City:
🗣️ Reece James: “I actually laughed when I saw the news. Enzo was one of the loudest players when Mason Mount left Chelsea for Manchester United. He used to tease him about leaving all the time.
“Then Enzo wanted his own move. First it was Real Madrid, but Bernardo Silva got that opportunity. Suddenly, Manchester City became the destination because Bernardo was leaving.
“So I had to ask him, ‘Wait, weren’t you the one giving Mason all that stick for leaving Chelsea?’
“He just laughed and said, ‘Football changes quickly.’
“Fair enough, but you can’t spend months mocking someone for joining a rival and then walk through the same door yourself. Now he’s gone to City to replace Bernardo, so I suppose we’ll see if he can live up to all that talk.
“I’ve got nothing against him personally, but when City come to Stamford Bridge, I’m definitely reminding him of those conversations.”
🚨 Casemiro explains Miami move: "If you haven't played for Manchester United, you haven't completed football.
🗣️ Casemiro
I've had the privilege of living every footballer's dream. Playing for Real Madrid and Manchester United two of the biggest clubs in the world is something I'll cherish forever.
People ask me why I'm leaving. The truth is, the Premier League is incredibly intense. Every match demands everything from you physically and mentally. Sometimes I felt it demanded more than my body could give.
I would've loved to continue at Manchester United, but there comes a point when you have to be honest with yourself. I want to enjoy football, compete, and also enjoy life outside the game.
Real Madrid and Manchester United have different kinds of pressure. At both clubs, the expectation is to win every single match. That level of demand changes you as a player and as a person.
If you haven't played for Manchester United, you haven't completed football. The atmosphere, the history, the supporters it's unlike anything else. I'll always be grateful for wearing that shirt.
