@mehdirhasan The military that performed the Rohinga genocide (not on her orders) are the people performing the coup so it’s not like the current situation is any better
@JordanUhl It’s just psychology now. If someone believes a stock will go up in price, people will buy it, that’s the key thing that sets market price right now.
@GeoffMiami Meanwhile she’s also saying there’s no need to focus on organising, polls show almost all Dems support M4A so why don’t their reps... 🤦♂️🤦♂️
@ProudSocialist@SamSeder Take the UK, they virtually have a single payer system but their cases are skyrocketed in December because of the new variant and a government massively behind the curve in responding to the pandemic
@ProudSocialist@SamSeder It depends on what context he was saying M4A would help in a pandemic. In terms of cases I doubt it. But the security people feel knowing they can still go to a hospital even if they lose their job, or can just generally afford to go, it helps enormously
@KweenInYeIIow Why tf did anyone ever defend him and his actions? Was clearly just a publicity thing for his show. If anyone wants to force a vote on M4A-I’d love to see it happen ASAP, let’s just not give Jimmy any credit if it does
@EmmaVigeland So nerdy that I know this (I saw the footage in 2016) but all objections need a member of the House and Senate as signatories, they haven’t mentioned any in that press release so will probably come to nothing
@JonathanMunitz I'm sure you have explained this a dozen times before in your tweets, but I feel like I either missed them or forgot. Can you clarify what you mean with your support for semi-direct democracy? I'm not expecting to disagree with you, just curious on the particulars
