@DittiePE I would like to point out that someone being 400% over the poverty line doesn't actually mean they aren't close to poverty *considering* the rise in inflation far exceeding the raising of the poverty line.
This U.S.A. fudges the numbers to look more well off than it actually is.

@fascinatingonX So you're saying I can get free housing & meals for 6 years? 👀
are they trying to make prison seem more appealing than living outside of it?

@charise_lee I think the reputation part is really important.

Because in South Korea you'll go to jail longer for selling weed than raping women.

Actually I don't think the reputation part is that important. Look at what happened to poor young Kim Saeron & how her abuser is doing currently.

I absol love this, 2 wks ago Beoga was on tour with Ed sheeran doing a stadium tour of the USA, they walked out in solidarity with @macklemore over the ongoing genocide & calling it out.
Tonight they are on the Garvaghy road Ireland, playing tunes & keeping spirits up ✊️💚

@PopCrave She doesn't understand that it isn't "we're going to create musically with AI" but that the AI will be making music that humans have no part in the creative process or the making of.

Idk who has been spewing their AI propaganda at her but I hope someone shows her the truth

[Jayẅ̷̩̞̥̯͈́͊͛̋̍͑̊̕ä̷̼̗̫̲̯̥̪̠̱̀̇̍͂̀͆̚ͅk̷̢̛Seti @JLestrangeBlack]

So my point was that they were completely misguided thinking that old institutions aren't controlling the media there too.

Replies are off so I had to quote. Englad is the one who put Israel on the map. They are the ones who were occupying Palestine & sold it to the zionists so they wouldn't have to take any jewish refugees into their own country. & even now The UK givernment & BBC support Israel

[ROBIN|🇵🇸 @Plut0Destr0yMe]

@JLestrangeBlack @vampirealicent What do England’s past actions have to do with Israel’s current ones

🚨 BREAKING: The family of Renee Good and her partner, Rebecca Good, have filed two federal lawsuits over Good’s January killing by ICE agent Jonathan Ross in Minneapolis.

The first lawsuit is against the United States itself, alleging wrongful death and other claims under the Federal Tort Claims Act. The complaint alleges Ross fired three times as Good’s vehicle turned away from him, killing the 37-year-old mother of three, and argues the shooting violated the Fourth Amendment and DHS use-of-force policies.

The second, much broader lawsuit personally names Ross, Stephen Miller, Kristi Noem, Corey Lewandowski, Tom Homan, Todd Lyons, Gregory Bovino, and other federal agents. It accuses them of participating in an unlawful conspiracy surrounding “Operation Metro Surge” and brings claims under the Ku Klux Klan Act of 1871, Bivens, and Minnesota law.

The 149-page complaint alleges Good’s killing was not an isolated incident, but the “predictable and intended product” of a coordinated federal operation that plaintiffs say targeted Minnesota’s Somali and Hispanic communities and sought to intimidate people documenting or warning others about federal enforcement activity.

Together, the lawsuits seek damages over Good’s death and the injuries Rebecca Good says she suffered after witnessing the shooting.

This Town was released 10 years ago today. it was the first song i released out on my own and it’s so special to me for many reasons.

when i think back i remember a lot of big pop songs with big productions , around at that time. i feel This Town stood out as it was just one voice and an acoustic guitar. after that, you guys all over the world really connected to it and it took on a life of its own.

to reach over a billion streams and see you all singing it back to me all these years later , is absolutely unbelievable . i’ll never really be able to explain how grateful i am for all of this and for your support. a few words on stage , a short caption is not enough words to explain how thankful i am.

i’m working on a few special things to celebrate that will be coming very soon.

it was my song and now it’s ours

happy 10 years of this town ❤️

Bono reveals that Ed Sheeran didn’t want to get into politics when collaborating with U2 on a song that features Ukrainian singer Taras Topolia, who served in the army following the Russian invasion:

“When we did ‘Yours Eternally,’ he was saying, ‘You’re not going to get me into politics, are you?’ And I said, ‘This soldier who inspired us, he loved you Ed and you’ve worked on this song.’ [He responded], ‘Yeah, but I just want to keep my thing free.’”

ICE being told to stop arresting non-criminals is an extraordinary admission of guilt by the Trump administration. They’ve spent the last two years arguing that they weren’t arresting people indiscriminately based on the color of their skin, and now they’re basically admitting to it and telling their own agents to stop.

Unbefuckinglievable.

[Abier @abierkhatib]

They’re literally at war with a piece of cloth. How fragile and illegitimate do u have to be to declare war on a fucking garment?

What kind of paper-thin legitimacy is this?
