@teachconnect_us Create an environment that is inviting for parents such as a classic cafe with your students to showcase their work. Encourage parents to come for tea/coffee and a snack, to see what is happening in your classroom. Have students present their work to the parents. #NT2T

@teachconnect_us My classroom is always noisy, students are moving around working independently and collaboratively to complete their projects. When I want their attention, I usually speak with a loud voice, it works for me and if students continue, I stop talking. That gets their attention #NT2T

@teachconnect_us Greet you students at the door, continue to have conversations, get to know your students better, let them know that you are interested in what they are doing outside of the classroom. As a teacher become involved with extra curricular activities at your school. #NT2T

@teachconnect_us Be clear to students on your expectations from the beginning, chunk assignments, create a positive learning environment, encourage students to be mindful of their actions and be kind to each other. #NT2T

@teachconnect_us Have a conversation and try to find out what is going on so you can help motivate them to do their work. Ask them what they would like and try to get some feedback. As well, let them know that your door is always open if they want come for a visit to have a chat. #NT2T

@teachconnect_us Provide opportunities for students to complete their homework either at lunch or after school, give extensions. I think, it depends on student, their home enviroment/situation. #NT2T
