Fewer than 1 in 10 people survive an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest but with quick use of a defib, survival rates are much higher. Hopefully it never has to be used, but if the new defibrillator can save one life, then this would far exceed the contributions I made on the pitch.

I’m delighted to announce the installation of a fully automatic community use defibrillator at Newlandsfield, the home of Pollok FC ❤️

However, I’m even prouder that I’ve been able to facilitate the installation of the new defibrillator meaning that visitors to Newlandsfield and the wider Southside community will be able to access this potentially life saving equipment if someone goes into cardiac arrest.
