Husband, dad, business owner, former public school teacher. Am fairly sure misinformation spread through digital media will be the downfall of civilization
Doorbelling and talking with voters is my favorite part of any campaign. Today was a milestone: my 1,000th door. I wasn't going to put that one off just because of a little rain.
What I've been hearing at the door is the same thing I've been hearing at the grocery store and at council meetings every week. Everything is getting more and more unaffordable.
Families are cutting back. Olympia should be doing the same. Instead, they're passing massive tax increases and state budgets that break their own record year after year.
That's not right. The 47th is our home, and our families deserve a senator who'll fight to break this pattern, not maintain it. That's why I'm running.
The judge's decision on Brendan Sorsby is indicative of where we are.
We've confused compassion & empathy with excusing behavior. This is what happens when the person who broke the rules is increasingly viewed as the primary victim.
Accountability is now cruelty.
Embarrassing.
Huge thank you to my good friends Mindy and Don Nelson for opening up their home and hosting such a beautiful fundraiser, and to @BVUEjared for coming down to speak. It meant the world to have so many friends and neighbors in one place, all in for the 47th.
Your support means the world to me, thank you!
@oglxnd@markkjones@AmericanAir You seem like a super happy person. Nothing better to do than comment on a poor guyโs frustrations around a cancelled flight? Your parentโs basement must feel like a dungeon.
It was an honor having Chairman @JimWalshLD19 come down to speak at our kickoff and to have his support in this campaign!
I couldn't agree with him more. This seat is winnable, and the 47th district deserves representation that shows up and fights. That's why I'm all in.
@JakeBequette91 What an ignorant take. College sports (all of them) are part of an ecosystem that supports community and grows leaders. This moron thinks they were invented for his own personal entertainment. Guaranteed, this was the guy in JR high with all the gear who stunk at sports.
So far in this Protect College Sports Act hearing, EVERYONE has talked about the urgent need to protect women's and Olympic sports.
โThat is something you will NEVER hear about from the certain few Twitter folks who oppose any movement toward meaningful and progressive reform...

To the Esteemed Keepers of Purple Delusion in Seattle,
Word has reached Pullman that your football program recently celebrated the upcoming Apple Cup by proudly posting a photograph of Martin Stadium and a crowd of Washington State fans beneath the declaration, โThe Greatest Setting in 100 Days.โ
On behalf of Cougar Nation, allow me to offer my sincerest gratitude.
For generations, Husky fans have informed us that Pullman was too small, too remote, too windy, too wheat-filled, and too irrelevant to matter. Yet when the time came to showcase the crown jewel of college football settings, your social media department apparently took one look at Husky Stadium and said, โNo, noโฆ find me that place where people actually care.โ
It takes courage to accidentally admit the truth to 700,000 followers.
The photograph itself is magnificent. There stand thousands of crimson-clad Cougs packed shoulder-to-shoulder in Martin Stadium, creating the kind of atmosphere that cannot be purchased with television contracts, waterfront property, or conference realignment votes. One can only assume the intern tasked with finding a picture of Husky Stadium searched for โgreatest settingโ and the algorithm immediately returned Pullman.
Frankly, we are honored.
Some have called this a mistake. I disagree. Mistakes are accidental. This feels more like a subconscious confession. After all, deep down every Husky knows that while Seattle has the skyline, Pullman has the soul. One stadium hosts football games. The other hosts sail-gates disguised as football games.
So thank you, Huskies. Thank you for reminding the nation that when asked to identify the greatest setting in college football, your own account instinctively chose Martin Stadium.
The first step toward recovery is acceptance.
With appreciation for your unexpected endorsement,
General Kirby Moore
