I write novels and geek out over Disney, Star wars, history, books, and nostalgic movies. I cohost The United States of Women podcast for CertainPOV network.
I have a slight problem with the more realistic burned bodies aspect. Cuz I feel like if we try to be real, Zukos eye should be so much worse. Like really he shouldn't Have an eyelid, or eye for that matter. Which did bug me in the original but it's a kids show so forgiven.
Me: daughter of a firefighter with a slight fear of being burned alive
Also me: very excited to watch a live adaption of an amazing animated KIDS show in which people have elemental powers.
Me five minutes into the live action seeing fire powers used to kill: well shit...๐
@JukeboxVertigo Harmonies: at least three parts. All can dance, some better than others. Get defined by their 'unique personalities' i.e 1 bad boy, 1 cinnamon roll, ect. they must look the same, but different which doesn't make sense but it does. maybe one plays an instrument occasionally
Everyone listening to Ariana Grandes 'Yes and?' Focusing on the 'scandal' and feeling conflicted.
Me listening and panicking because durring every verse of that song all I can hear is a slower tempo of 'You can't stop the Beat' from the musical Hairspray.
Netflix: here check out this new romance series. It looks so good.
Me: oh yea what is it?
Netflix: oh its One Day. A series remake of that movie you watched that one time, One Day.
Me: oh hell no I ain't putting myself through that pain again!!! And you made it longer!?
me discovering the UK band Sleep Token and absolutely enjoying their song "The Summoning" just carelessly nodding my head and thinking it's just a nice solid alt metal jam.
Also me when you get to 5:02 of that song:
Me to me: you WILL NOT buy anything this cyber Monday.
Me at the very last hours of cyber sales: (In gollum voice) oh! Oh yes this thing. Needs this things and sales is goodsies.
Me later looking at a drawing tablet IDK how to begin to use: damn you gollum me!!!
@JukeboxVertigo I feel like 80s gets marked for worst music but it really was the best time for Pop music and for some reason even though Pop music is popular it seems to get a lot of hate for being simplistic. There's nothing wrong with a song that's just fun to dance to, in my opinion.
My main characters heroes journey in 6 songs:
Ilomilo. Billie Eilish
Broken Crown. Mumford and sons
I am here. Pink
Impossible. Nothing but Thieves
Killing in the name of. Rage against the machine.
