Towards taking #research efforts to the next level, aligning activities amongst researchers at IITA, fostering strong team collaboration, while identifying needs, priorities, and future actions for effective delivery of IITA's crop improvement strategy, a one-week Crop Improvement Retreat took place last week.
The retreat which had IITA's researchers in attendance, had participants exploring a collaborative synergy framework to identify opportunities across disciplines and guide interdisciplinary cooperation, maximizing the impact of diverse teams working towards common goals.
While ensuring alignment with @CGIAR Breeding for Tomorrow and Genebanks Science Program.
Following the retreat, researchers at IITA can integrate disciplines such as #breeding, social science, #gender, and #agronomy to enhance the impact of breeding programs.
This will aid the development of common approaches for cohesion, sharing information and adopting new technologies.
