You celebrate the anniversary at the conclusion of a full year, that’s when the digits should make sense mathematically.

2014 debut, 2023 is your 10th year; it’s happening now - you are in it

BUT

2024 is your 10th anniversary as it occurs as soon as you’ve accomplished a full 10th year

Sports teams have this issue with celebrations all the time!
