It’s a hard thing to admit but life has become very lonely for me. I’m 4 years into retirement and in a new state and it’s very difficult to make friends. Life is just different and it’s sad. It’s a tough season in my life. 🙏

Good Morning! I never thought my post on being lonely would bring such a response. My Hubby and I talked about relocating for years and we moved to the place we visited over and over and I do have a couple of family members. But let’s face it when you are in the thick of work and family it’s busy. Then it all changes! When we first arrived I started volunteering at an animal sanctuary and I loved it. We traveled a lot. Then life hit with caregiving of my elderly Mom and this year I had an extensive shoulder surgery. I’ve been more homebound and come to realize life gets lonely. I’ll get through this and I have joined a woman’s church group and as soon as I can get to the gym, I’m joining. And, I walk every morning and say hi to all the dog walkers and ducks at the park 😍
Thanks everyone for the concern and tips. It’s so nice to know so many people care.
