I've been saying this for years now. Maybe admins will begin to listen. The nextgen exam is not the lone solution, it is just a distractor. It could present the same inequities if our licensure process is not overhauled.
@HEBCenter Too many of us paid good money to just end up sitting in traffic waiting to get into your parking lot instead of actually seeing what we came to see.
You should refund the cost of the tickets.
Hey, @HEBCenter is this the @mulaney show we paid money to see? Drove up forty five minutes early and we are still probably a solid hour to an hour and a half from your parking lot. Can we expect some kind of refund?
The court's ruling: The decades-old ballot initiative law says that petitioners must collect a certain number of signatures from each of the state's 5 congressional districts.
But since 2000, we've only had 4 districts. On this technicality, they neutered our initiative process.
The way Manchin describes his preferred process — “listening to the minority to make sure the majority gets it right” — sure makes it seem like there are filibuster reforms he would support. https://t.co/ntEvNpHsVv
The filibuster was not part of the original Senate because the Framers knew exactly how it'd be used- they saw McConnell coming. The filibuster represents Calhoun's vision, not Madison's. Calhoun wanted a Senate where the minority could block the majority. https://t.co/1y5K1bLcDR
The Senate was meant to be a balance to the House in its undemocratic structure, representing the states instead of the people
There is zero reason to make the place even less democratic through keeping the filibuster

“To put that into historical context, the Federal Government will have executed more than three times as many people in the last six months than it had in the previous six decades”
Really loved Wandavision - perfect blend of delightful and creepy.
Paul Bettany doing light comedy is an utter joy, and Elizabeth Olsen should win awards for how well she's handling a really complex role.
