Sacred Heart Fires in Tyrol. The Sacred Heart of Jesus Fires are linked to a tradition that originated in 1796 and still today, every year, illuminate the mountains of Trentino in mid-June.

In 1796, Napoleon Bonaparte was conducting his Italian campaign. Having defeated the Kingdom of Piedmont, the Armistice of Cherasco opened the gates to Lombardy, which at the time was under Habsburg rule. After Milan, the next objective was the Principality of Trento and the County of Tyrol, which were also Habsburg possessions.

The Tyrolean Diet met in Bolzano from 30 May to 3 June 1796 to find a possible solution to a difficult situation for Trentino. The Tyroleans - an army of peasants with little experience, armed with agricultural tools - were about to face Napoleon’s powerful army.

On the advice of the Abbot of Stams, Sebastian Stöckl, they begged for God’s help, entrusting Tyrol to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and vowing that every year they would light bonfires in honour of the Lord if He helped them in that moment of grave danger.

The promise was upheld by Andreas Hofer, remembered as the champion of Tyrolean freedom, in 1809. After winning the Battle of Berg-Isel against the Franco-Bavarian troops, he organised a great celebration to thank divine assistance.

The lighting of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Fires, also known as Herz-Jesu-Feuer, became a true tradition, almost like a religious anniversary.

Every year, on the first or second Sunday after the feast of Corpus Christi, in mid-June, the mountains of Trentino are lit up with fires in the shape of a heart or recreating the holy name of Jesus: INRI or IHS.

Meanwhile, windows are illuminated with lanterns and luminous images, lighting up the darkness of the night.

We are sad to share that our baby girl is no longer with us. I’m not sure how we live life without her. She was so special in a million different ways. Our hearts are hurting and I don’t think it’ll ever stop.

Amelia Claire Samarrippas made Brooke & I parents. The first time I met her I knew my life changed. I was a girl dad 🩷 and would do anything I could to protect her, love her, and make sure she has anything she needs.

She brought joy to so many people and was loved by everyone that met her. She loved to dance (didn’t matter where we were), her smile & laugh were infectious, she loved all the girly stuff like mom… wanted to do her make up with her, put on heels, always showing off her outfits, opening up Amazon packages… her bond with Brooke was something I’ll always cherish and Brooke has been such a great momma to her & Jase.

Once we moved to Spartanburg I think we really were able to see her start to blossom into the most fun & loving sweet girl. She loved going to Daycare to spend the day with her teachers and friends. She loved to play outside, riding her bike, going on walks, and going to the park to slide or swing. She loved going to Wofford games and her favorite song was pump it up (which she automatically dances to). She loved ball and couldn’t wait to cheer on our team, dance, and loved to see Dada make eye contact and wave at her every game.

More recently she became a big sister and was so proud of her baby brother Jase. She bragged to everyone about him, constantly wanted to hold him, help with him, and be attached to him. She was the best big sister in the world. As Brooke had to nurse and give Jase more attention the last few weeks, it really gave me a chance to build a closer relationship with my baby girl. Putting her down to sleep every night was some of my favorite moments in my life. We would have conversation about her day, what she planned to do tomorrow, we sang songs, and cuddle up in my arms as she would fall asleep right underneath me every night. My favorite part about bedtime though was when we started it with our prayer. Each night I’d ask her if she’s ready to pray and who she wanted to pray for.. She was always ready to pray and each night named different people she wanted to pray for (Nana, Doonk, Mama Kris, Lala, Lexi, Aspen, Boogie, Cinco, John, Mom, Dada, Baby Brother Jase, her Babies “Patterson Twins”, and many more). She did this every night. And finally the last two nights she tried to pray on her own. In real time I was just proud that she was doing this by herself but now I know how close she was to the lord and pray that she’s with Jesus and we can one day be together again.

Millie will always be with us and I will do all that I can to keep her memory lasting forever.

LAS DOS RELIGIONES

Empecemos el ensayo recordando algo elemental: el principio rector de toda lógica es el de no contradicción: una cosa no puede ser y no ser al mismo tiempo y bajo el mismo aspecto. En el ámbito de la verdad revelada, este principio no es una "mera convención" intelectual, sino un reflejo de la inmutabilidad de Dios (como Dios no cambia -y Su Verdad tampoco-, la lógica que gobierna Su Iglesia debe ser siempre la misma: lo que fue verdad ayer, debe seguir siendo verdad hoy, porque la Verdad es un atributo de la eternidad de Dios y NO una moda sujeta al tiempo).

Sin embargo, observamos en las recientes declaraciones del actual pontífice, León, respecto de la Fraternidad San Pío X (SSPX), una ruptura que exige un análisis urgente y claro. El Papa al afirmar que la comunión "es imposible" debido a la negativa de la SSPX a aceptar elementos fundamentales del Vaticano II, León ha declarado, de forma tácita pero inequívoca, que la Iglesia que él lidera es ontológicamente distinta de la Iglesia que se mantuvo fiel a la fe preconciliar.

La contradicción es clara: si la Iglesia es el Cuerpo Místico de Cristo y el Cuerpo Místico es atemporal, su doctrina NO puede ser un objeto de negociación que se transforma según el capricho de los siglos. Por eso, cuando León condiciona la aceptación de la SSPX a la adhesión al Vaticano II, admite implícitamente que dicho Concilio NO es un seguimiento de la Tradición, sino un cuerpo de enseñanzas nuevo, distinto y, en puntos cruciales, incompatible con el Magisterio Universal previo.

Desarrollemos esto: por el principio de no contradicción, si la enseñanza A (Tradición) denuncia que la "libertad religiosa, el ecumenismo y la colegialidad son errores o desviaciones", y la enseñanza B (Vaticano II) los afirma como "verdades", estas enseñanzas no pueden coexistir dentro de una misma identidad teológica sin destruirse mutuamente. Una de los dos tiene que sobrevivir y la otra, ser destruido para garantizar la existencia del contrario. Por esto, la curia de Roma al imponer la enseñanza B como condición para la legitimidad, León confiesa que el objeto de su lealtad NO es la Iglesia Católica de los siglos (la que condenó tales ideas), sino una nueva concepción eclesiástica que ha roto formalmente con el pasado.

Con lo cual Roma ha reconocido por primera vez en 60 años que existe una ruptura formal de la curia romana con respecto a la Iglesia Católica de dos mil años. La gravedad de la postura de León radica en su honestidad involuntaria. Al afirmar “es su elección” (la SSPX al mantenerse en la Tradición) y “debemos movernos adelante” (Roma) y no "nuestro objetivo es salvar almas" sino "seguir nuestra agenda" está demarcando la linea divisoria en el terreno de batalla: el Vaticano, bajo el Concilio Vaticano II, se DESPRENDIÓ de sus amarras antiguas. ¡No se trata de un conflicto administrativo, estamos hablando de una incompatibilidad por la contradicción DE LAS ESENCIAS (enseñanzas)!

¿Qué nos indican dos mil años de doctrina? La Iglesia Católica es una realidad monolítica y perenne. Cristo es el mismo ayer, hoy y siempre y Su doctrina no es una masa moldeable. El depósito de la fe es un bloque de granito inalterable. Si León la defendiese, las enseñanzas de Pío X serían perfectamente compatibles con el pontificado actual. Pero la jerarquía que ocupa Roma ha hablado como si la Iglesia no fuera perenne. Al ser incapaz de reconciliarlas, el actual ocupante de la sede romana confirma que estamos ante dos realidades:
• La Iglesia de la Tradición: el Cuerpo Místico de Cristo como el UNO, la realidad metafísica que sostiene que la Verdad es inmutable.
• La “Iglesia” post-Conciliar: Una estructura administrativa que, bajo la excusa del "desarrollo" y el "progreso" ha adoptado una nueva religión basada en la subjetividad, el diálogo ecuménico y la adaptación al mundo moderno.

De acuerdo entonces a las afirmaciones de León, estamos antes DOS religiones y una tiene que morir para que la otra pueda emerger e instaurarse.

No podemos escapar a la consecuencia lógica de estas premisas. Si la SSPX -defensora de la fe de siempre- no puede estar en comunión con Roma, es porque Roma ya no comparte la fe de la SSPX. Se ha operado una mutación. Ya ni siquiera estamos hablando de que la jerarquía actual no considere que los lefebvristas sean católicos “incompletos”: Roma ha declarado de manera clara a la SSPX como practicante de una religión ajena a su nuevo paradigma. Y es la razón principal por la cuál no puede haber "comunión con Roma": la SPPX defiende una religión distinta y contraria.

Por lo tanto, León, con sus palabras, ha validado la tesis más dolorosa pero necesaria de procesar, de nuestro tiempo: lo que hoy se denomina “catolicismo” en los pasillos del Vaticano ha dejado de ser la catolicidad que fue. La pretendida “comunión” se ha vuelto imposible NO por falta de buena voluntad, sino por una imposibilidad lógica. Ninguna estructura puede albergar, al mismo tiempo y bajo el mismo aspecto, la Verdad que condena el error y al error que se pretende y presenta como "verdad".

Por tanto, al exigir la aceptación de un concilio rupturista como condición para ser aceptada, Roma ha declarado, tácitamente pero de manera total y formal, QUE DESDE EL CONCILIO VATICANO II ROMA HA ABANDONADO LA BARCA DE PEDRO PARA CONSTRUIR UNA PROPIA.

Para el católico militante reconocer esto NO es un acto de rebeldía, sino un acto de fidelidad a la lógica y a la Verdad inmutable. Si León admite que no pueden convivir con la FSSPX porque sus VISIONES DEL MUNDO SON DISTINTAS, nosotros debemos en este punto aceptar que, en efecto, estamos ante dos religiones que solo comparten, por ahora, el nombre. Una es la verdadera fundamentada en una teología (unidad católica), la otra, la impostación de la verdadera, fundamentada en su antiteología (unidad en la apostasía).
