here are my thoughts on Jason Arday, who just committed suicide after being incessantly hounded by the entire UK and US media class from across the ideological spectrum, The Guardian to The Telegraph and New York Times. After it was revealed that he committed plagiarism in his PhD thesis and academic work, he resigned, but it was not enough. They kept picking at him every day, over and over. They wanted to turn him into a symbol for the lack of ability of every non-white scholar. They wanted to make him the poster-boy for "woke 1", to use AOCIA's phrasing, and all its evils and depravities, so they couldn't let it go even after he had resigned and it was already over.

So I want to compare and contrast Arday with another person: Bill Ackman's wife Neri Oxman, who is an Israeli Zionist Jew. She completed her PhD at MIT in 2010, and in the same year joined MIT's media lab as part of the faculty. There she was allowed to found a "research group" that was heavily funded, including by Jeffrey Epstein. Her PhD was found to be filled with plagiarism:

As you can see there, her plagiarism was massive, and included literally copy-pasting from Wikipedia and plagiarizing from another already caught plagiarist: https://t.co/nQwyyPjAaI. This is worse than anything Arday was accuse of by a million miles. She didn't even copy-paste from other academic sources, she copy-pasted FROM FUCKING WIKIPEDIA.

This was a marginal item for a few days, her husband Bill Ackman, a fanatical genocidal Zionist, defended her plagiarism by saying that copy-pasting from Wikipedia and all the rest is actually completely normal and fine, and he pressured Business Insider's owners to review and retract the reporting (https://t.co/MAZLFC3Lb0), and then everyone forgot about it and she still has her PhD in good standing.

If she hadn't already left her MIT position in 2021, she would still have it today, and everyone knows it because no one dares touch a Zionist Israeli Jew who can hysterically cry ANTISEMITISM ANTISEMITISM and get Jake Tapper, Dana Bash, everyone at the NYT, BBC, CNN, Guardian alongside the vast Israel lobby and regime to rise to their defense.

No one attempted to make her into the symbol for Zionist Jewish supremacists and their deception and lies and how they worm themselves into elite academia and then use their Zionist Jewish supremacist husbands and the entire Israel lobby to defend them when they get caught.

Jason Arday had no one. A few marginal voices attempted to call of the dogs, but they were themselves swamped with death threats and insanity. He was systematically murdered by the media and political class, while countless Neri Oxman's slither around at MIT, Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Cambridge, Oxford without a worry in the world because they know exactly where power really, actually lies.

Dave, you’ve become an advocate for a particularly corrosive idea: that ignorance isn’t something to overcome - it’s something to defend.

Instead of evidence-informed argument, you reach for "you people": shadowy tribes, convenient villains and simplistic stories that require almost no curiosity to sustain.

It's loud and lazy. And because it’s loud, some sadly mistake it for substance.

That matters, because it gives social licence to wilfully stupid. It tells people they don’t need to read, check or understand. They just need to be angry, certain and sufficiently indignant when challenged.

That’s not holding power to account. It’s degrading public debate and it’s infantile.

And now you’re telling Sue that "you people don’t ever critique" Labor, as though everyone who calls out your relentless bullshit belongs to some homogeneous political tribe.

They don’t.

You’d know that if you’d spent any time reading Sue’s work. She’s not reflexively pro-Labor, nor does she treat politics as a team sport. Her writing is thoughtful, evidence-based and often critical, but the criticism is grounded in good-faith engagement with difficult issues rather than partisan reflex.

That’s the difference. Sue does the work. She considers the evidence, wrestles with complexity and tries to advance the argument. Her writing is linked is in her profile.

And finally, while I'm still going, let me add that I’m also so just fucking sick of your style of politics.

Tired of people like you who add nothing, illuminate nothing and solve nothing, yet still feel endlessly entitled to dominate the conversation. Tired of the laziness. Tired of the certainty without effort. You confuse having a platform with having something worth saying.

Your large audience does not transform intellectual laziness into insight; it just gives the laziness a bigger distribution network.

And that's really the tragedy here.

Europe just quit the World Cup. UEFA and all 55 of its national associations announced they will not participate in FIFA competitions. No France, no England, no Spain, no Germany in the biggest tournament on earth.

The trigger is wild. Infantino wants to sell a piece of the World Cup to private investors for $4.2 billion. And each of the 211 national associations gets $20 million for voting yes.

211 times $20 million is $4.2 billion. The entire raise equals the approval payments. The investors would be funding the yes votes on their own acquisition.

Infantino thought the voting math made him unbeatable. FIFA runs on one country, one vote, so San Marino counts the same as Germany, and $86 million per federation through 2038 is transformative for small associations that have never qualified for a World Cup. He needs 106 of 211 votes, and he was buying them at retail.

UEFA just found the counter. Europe can't win the vote, so it's destroying the asset instead. European teams have won 12 of the 22 World Cups ever played. European broadcast money anchors the rights being sold. A World Cup without Europe is worth a fraction of the price, and every investor Kushner and JP Morgan are courting knows it by now.

The F1 comparison everyone's making misses the difference. Greg Maffei, who ran Liberty Media's Formula 1 takeover, is structuring this deal, but F1 privatization worked because the teams had nowhere else to race. UEFA already runs the Champions League and the Euros. Europe can exist without FIFA. FIFA cannot exist without Europe.

The vote is September 19. Infantino has the votes. UEFA has the teams. Only one of those makes a World Cup worth watching.
