Without touching on fandom discourse, my personal dream fighter picks for Smash Bros are Siegfried and/or Nightmare from SoulCalibur, along with Phoenix Wright from Ace Attorney, maybe even with Edgeworth and/or Apollo as either Echoes or sharing a single slot to save up space.
