Your @UnionNASA Bargaining Team tabled its monetary proposals earlier today. NASA members should check their email inbox or login to the members-only bargaining updates page for full details about our proposals:

Your @UnionNASA Bargaining Team is back at the table today as bargaining for a new collective agreement resumes. Show the team you're with them on #TeamTuesdays in April. Learn more at https://t.co/VSrZ88NeE6
@Ropes128 @CSU52 You know a lot of coal, and oil and gas workers are unionized right? Not sure what revving your truck has to do with making sure folks are paid fairly for their work.
@GideonNewday @Spearmac@JasonCoppingAB Im not sure how private relieves the burden of the public when there r only so many drs to start with. If there are 10 drs and 3 move to private, there are still only 10 drs. In this system wealthy ppl jump the queue and poor ppl are left out. There isnt a surplus of drs
Congrats to another outstanding @UnionNASA member Courtney Wagner with @UAlbertaAlumni! This new MA has worked at #ualberta for 9 years and I’m lucky to call her a friend! #ualberta22
We expect our #UAlberta students and researchers to use evidence in their decision making and we’re asking for the same from our senior leaders. #accountability
NASA President @JMPratt1 has written to #UAlberta leadership requesting an updated institutional risk assessment to determine if additional measures to ensure a healthy and safe campus are warranted given the current circumstances. https://t.co/IR6NCMcjK6
Congrats to @UnionNASA member & #ualberta newest MA @harris_tonia,grad advisor from @UofAALES. Today I celebrate our graduates and thank all of the support staff who helped make dreams possible (and in this case, a dear friend who did both!)
@mamaofsons2 Have you considered it isn’t your colleagues that are diffrnt but the envrmnt is diffrnt? Has there ever been govt as blatant in using legislation to quash collective bargaining rights? Even if leaders want to be aggressive, they are only as strong as the action mmbrs will take.
@mamaofsons2 Unions are you and each of your colleagues. Unions are not a nebulous “them.” If you think your union is ineffective ask yourself what are you willing to do to make it effective & think about what effective looks like to you. This is why I first got involved as a steward & exec
@demetriosnAB@UCalgary@UAlberta Funny, when I was a student recruiter, #ualberta was number 5. Dropping spots while #ableg cut funding 25% seems like a strange flex. UAlberta teaches stats if you need help
Another behind the scenes person keeping #ualberta awesome! Meet @UnionNASA member Sarah from @UABotanicGarden. Sarah is a comms professional, story telling wizard, and lover of plants & dogs. Bonus fun fact, we used to work together in @UofAALES.
@ShoreStorytime Already working on coordinating some appreciation for these folks 🙂As noted in my statement, I’m v happy the grad students are directing criticism at senior leaders and not the amazing staff doing this work
Read my full statement on #ualberta's incredible mismanagement of graduate student worker contracts. As not only a support staff member, but also a student and alumni, I am appalled that this is happening in my community and the great impact it has on our grad student colleagues.
It's inexcusable that #UAlberta leadership has failed to ensure graduate students had employment contracts in place before the start of the fall term. Read @UnionNASA president @JMPratt1's letter of support to graduate student organizations: https://t.co/V2SZ7XYTHW
@aaronhoyland Was fortunate to have 2 months w husband b4 I returned to work after our daughter was born in May. To make baby life work I took day shift & he took nights. We didn’t sleep together for almost two months but this let us each get solid sleep so we could be the best versions of us
