Tapiwa Makarawu has officially qualified for the Paris 2024 Olympics by smashing the Zimbabwean 200m record. Makarawu clocked in at an incredible 19:93 at the Corky Crofoot Meet in the USA, surpassing the Olympic qualifying time of 20:16. This places him among the favourites for a podium finish in Paris.

Makarawu adds his name to the growing list of Zimbabwean athletes bound for the Paris 2024 Games, including rower Steve Cox and marathon champion Isaac Mpofu.
