AI Agents Bounce Back: Market Updates, Recovery, and What's Next

Despite last week being extremely bearish with liquidity escaping AI to from the $TRUMP family memecoins, we're seeing recovery for the AI agent coins, with many already making full recovery.

To top it off, Trump, together with Sam Altman (OpenAI), Masayoshi Son (SoftBank), and Larry Ellison (Oracle), has announced a $500BN investment in AI infrastructure under an initiative called "Stargate," signaling a significant push towards enhancing America's AI capabilities.

Over the short term, we're seeing the return in hype & speculation in AI agents due to the sector’s positioning, which is relatively close to consumers (easy for normies to understand in terms of utilities).

Over the medium to long term, we might see a surge in demand for key DeAI infrastructure such as decentralized computing, co-processors, decentralized model marketplaces, agent payment infrastructure, decentralized storage, and more, as some of those $500BN investments could trickle down to Decentralized AI infrastructure.

Observations on AI Agents

1. Virtuals as The First Productive Network State for Agents

@virtuals_io ecosystem has seen a sharp uptick in price action & mindshare across the majority of the agents as the buyback & burn of agent tokens using ~13m $VIRTUAL was just initiated yesterday.

This acts as an additional catalyst spurring the Virtuals ecosystem forward, on top of the new value accrual model that was implemented (30% to Creators, 20% to Affiliates, 50% to SubDAO).

DeFAI has remained the top-performing vertical for 3-4 weeks, led by @HeyAnonai, @orbitcryptoai, @askthehive_ai.

Newcomers @whispersai & @LimitusIntel are making headlines with their normie-friendly UI/UX.

General DeFi platforms like @Infinit_Labs are entering the Abstraction Layers space, starting with @pendle_fi agent, @Uniswap agent, and @aave agent, allowing users to use natural language to prompt complex DeFi actions.

Trading agents have also recovered, led by @Gekko_Agent, @ProjectPlutus_, and @BigTonyXBT.
