If we’re being honest it’s not the pessimistic side of me but the side of me that still has childlike wonder that is the most aghast and adamant that the systems of oppression must be destroyed for the good of all.
Are you telling me this guy is now so desperate to have people upgrade to premium he added a section next to timeline next to For You and Following to try and get people to upgrade to premium.
Come back to social media for five seconds and everything is Phantom of the Opera. I have no idea what is going on. But I’m good with it. I accept this welcome back. Though brief it will be.
A reminder that if you shop on https://t.co/E5E94Nv2ua you can select your favorite indie bookstore and all of the profits of your purchase will go directly to them! They frequently run different sales (including free shipping) with a massive selection of books to choose from !!
@traditionwisdom Yeah I told them that. And some did do that. Some didn’t. Which likely means they didn’t use the system. Which I can’t prove. They did 2/3rd of the assignments - as far as I know - so the most I can do is take away points for that section of it.
Mine was many iterations of no professor I actually do not know how to or my computer cannot screenshot & therefore cannot put a screenshot of using the software to get the answers instead of online copying. And me blankly telling them how & if they still cant to take a picture.
The moment when the Canvas hackers got to the first batch of professor-student messages, thinking they’d hit gold, only to read 65,000 iterations of:
“It’s on the syllabus.”
@traditionwisdom They have a test EMR with a fake patient & data. They have to maneuver around it to find the answer to the questions on the assignment. It teaches them how to use an EMR. But the answers have been posted online by others. So the screenshot shows they actually used the system.
@traditionwisdom It really, really is. But they didn’t end up adding the screenshot after. & I’ve gotten ‘my laptop doesn’t have a webcam’ from same students when an assignment was them recording a presentation & considering very few come without I’m giving it a 50/50 that they didn’t know how.
That’s not their fault. The person who wrote this forgot to dot their i’s. There is a whole saying about dotting your i’s & crossing your t’s for a reason.
I have a Luke warm take: indigenous people around the world were and have been able to ethically consume meat for centuries. It is possible to eat meat and not ruin the ecosystem
