@GoodPoliticGuy lol. Please explain to me gods work versus allahs work. Please be specific and include references to both the bible and the Koran. I’ll wait
@PeterSchiff When Iran war ends or, as is happening now, they lose control over the straight, oil drops to $60, inflation may actually go negative and we might all start talking about deflation, stock market and Main Street boom and the fed LOWERS rates. Believe this is more probable
@in_steeler Look…. If it could have been you, you shouldn’t be around children. Period. Full stop. You can have empathy for her and she still should be put to death. She forfeited her right to be in concert with that act. FWIW - seems premeditated with criminal intent.
🚨Dear President Trump: Pounding refiners won’t cut gasoline prices at the pump.
President #Trump met Tuesday with refining executives. The planned post-meeting media availability never happened. That’s usually a tell: the session didn’t produce much.
Refiners don’t set the retail price of gasoline. They process crude.
U.S. #refineries have been running at about 97% of capacity for months. That’s not slack. That’s a system already redlined.
A lot of those units are overdue for maintenance and safety turnarounds because they’ve been run so hard.
You can’t lecture more barrels out of a fleet that doesn’t have unused capacity sitting idle.
The president has tools that would show up at the pump this week:
• Declare a national emergency and suspend the federal taxes on gasoline and diesel
• Suspend the #EPA’s costly #biofuels blending mandates
Those two steps would take money off the gallon immediately. Building a new refinery will not.
America hasn’t opened a major new plant in nearly 50 years. Permitting, not persuasion, is why.
Instead, the White House keeps pounding an industry that neither controls pump prices nor has spare capacity to give.
Gas prices linger higher for a simpler reason: the war with #Iran.
Crude jumps whenever fighting resumes. #Gasoline follows crude.
We saw it again this week after tanker attacks in the #StraitofHormuz. We've seen the same pattern repeat itself since March. There is no mystery here.
Friday’s Venezuela oil deal is a long-term energy-security play. It will not lower prices in the next few days or weeks.
If the goal is cheaper fuel before November, use the levers that actually move the price.
If the goal is more refining capacity, fix the permit clock.
Don’t treat 97% utilization as if it is a character flaw. The refining industry deserves America's gratitude, not a Presidential browbeating.
That is all.
EXCLUSIVE: A respiratory therapist named Curtis Kurkova billed California Medicaid $40 million, then spent millions on sports cars, private jets, luxury resorts, and an enormous mansion next to the Kardashian house.
The experts told us it had all the red flags for fraud.
@hasanthehun Charlie was a patriot and is part of what normal people would call mainstream ideas. Piker is a lunatic, Marxist, Islamofascist. We are not the same. FWIW - if your explaining, your losing.
A Republican health care agenda should start with the person.
Pay less. Have more choices. Choose your doctor. Know the price. Get more value from your insurance.
Then we should go further and build a system designed to help Americans stay healthy rather than simply pay the bills after they get sick.
That is how we move from sickcare to healthcare.
@mehdirhasan In UAE where I’m not sure, but you would be arrested for NOT wearing it, which according to our values is oppressive. There is no helping stupid here
We had a good thing, Canada.
A quiet arrangement.
You kept watch up north, didn’t make noise, didn’t screw around.
We covered the heavy lifting.
You backed us up, built a few ships, some icebreakers, flew the flag at NATO, pretended to be a country that gave a damn. We saluted your officers and let you slide when things got bloody.
We asked for help and you sent 26,000 to places like Korea while we sent 1.1 million. We suffered more deaths than your total deployed forces and that was ok because you were nice and you had to remain focused on keeping the north defended.
Now look at you.
Your navy’s a joke, less combat power than a drug cartel with Zodiac boats.
Your GDP’s circling the drain, and instead of fixing it, you’re too busy playing dress-up at climate conferences and pretending that TikTok diplomacy will stop a hypersonic missile. You have 3 rusty submarines in commission and a few at the Edmonton Mall plus a few small frigates. You have more generals and Admiral than working tanks. You spend less per GDP on defense than Albania or Slovakia.
You won’t spend.
You won’t build.
You won’t fight.
You have the longest arctic shoreline in the world but most of your unimpressive “icebreaker” fleet are small patrol craft that would be crushed in heavy ice.
You are a Pacific Nation but couldn’t defend your selves from the Chinese fishing fleet let alone their Coast Guard or Navy.
But you’ll sure as hell talk.
Talk about “shared values” while you freeload off the defense umbrella we pay for. Talk about “peacekeeping” while China cuts your undersea cables and Russia maps your Arctic. Talk about how important your role is in NATO knowing full well your only authority is the billets, joint exercises and training we give you,
You think this continent defends itself?
You think because you’re polite and bilingual and serve maple syrup at the G7, you get a pass?
You think getting angry about memes will protect you from ismalocommies already inside the gate?
That someone else, USA, will show up when it gets hot in the Arctic or North Pacific?
Not gonna happen because we don’t have a single icebreaker that hasn’t suffered a catastrophic loss and no longer have a fleet capable of evacuating our bases in the Pacific let alone defending your coast.
You had a good thing.
You could’ve been useful.
You chose to be a burden.
And when the day comes, and it will come, don’t expect a call back.
We’re done babysitting the unarmed.
You had two jobs. Two. Stop the spread of Communism by nodding along with our anti-marxist rhetoric and defending your own coast. You have failed miserably at both.
And now you’re no longer even nice. You roll over to china and waive fentanyl through our border while booing the American flag and banning our products.
Then when we call out the truth you start pulling on our sympathy strings with posts talking about what great allies you were in WW2 and Korea.
I love and admire all you lost and all Canadians who served but that was a long time ago and I absolutely zero respect for today’s Royal Canadian “navy” or your politicians.
We had a great thing going Canada and paid you trillions in sweetheart deals like NAFTA, open borders and all our best intel vis five eyes.
All you had to do was be nice, not elect commies and patrol your own coast in return. You blew it.
