Quran 18:86 clearly states:
“Until he reached the place of the setting of the sun, he found it setting in a dark muddy spring.”

This is not miraculous knowledge.
It is the ignorance of 7th-century Arabia.
The Earth is spherical. The sun does not sink into anything. The Earth rotates.

If the creator of the entire universe truly revealed this verse, why does it contain such a major scientific error? Why is the sun described as setting into a muddy spring?

This is clear evidence that the Quran is not the word of an all-knowing supernatural being. It reflects the limited knowledge and imagination of people living in that era.
