@klywork @bully_lol It’s a great hypothetical idea…but it wouldn’t work out. Payments are being accepted for League RP by Riot Games, but for Tickets it is done by Ticketmaster/Tixr

There are also people (including myself) who exclusively fund my Riot Account with RP Gift Cards, and don’t use CC.

Typically as part of event contracts, there is a restriction mandating the use of the venue’s preferred ticketing platform, at least in the Western Hemisphere, this means AXS for the O2 arena for Worlds 2024, Ticketmaster for Chase Center in 2022 etc.

@Austopsy @lolesports It’s not up to Riot whether Ticketmaster is used or it. It is at the discretion of the venues used and is typically a condition of renting the venue. Riot must abide by the conditions set out by each venue. For example, for Worlds 2024, it was AXS; etc. and so forth.

Don’t buy scalped tickets on StubHub at this time (I would personally go as far as to say all the time), as there is limited clarity on ticket transferability.

@lolesports I hope this whole process will truly be revisited and that it is not simply brushed under the rug. Of course not everyone can get tickets, it’s just that it can be frustrating for everyone involved without communication.

@ramendino_ @wahibahhh You’d think so, but as I responded to a couple of others, it’s usually a stipulation in the contract that Riot use the ticketing system that the venue has an existing contract with. Some venues will have the capacity to support account verification while some will not.

- Foreigner (only available to those outside of country)
- Mastercard (must pay with Mastercard)
- Riot ID verified (must have verified past gameplay)
- Rioter Tickets (must work for Riot in some way)
- Venue Sponsor Tickets

@N_avY_esports @wahibahhh It’s the choice of scrapping it or not, but the exact venue contracts that define how tickets are sold. Depending on the exact contract between, Riot/Ticket Vendor/Venue, there have been multiple classes of tickets that would help with availability, this event did not have such.
