This year Connor Ungar, then 23, in the Oilers system had a .923 save percentage in the AHL.

The Habs promoted Dobes. The Oilers sent Ungar to the ECHL after his AHL stint.

In no way as that a shot at him but on most nights, Connor gets that gig upfront and the 5 man unit follows.

With that said, Evan has exceled in the role.
