Our women and children are not safe. Even those who disagree with us know deep down that this situation is not normal.
Only illegal Malawians in one province of South Africa? Come on, South Africans, this is not normal. Haybo! South African leadership, where are you?
The R600 million that is reportedly being set aside for 30 June to stop South Africans from protesting should instead be used to secure our porous borders and ensure that Home Affairs functions effectively.
You cannot silence the anger of citizens by trying to suppress protests while ignoring the root causes of their frustrations. People are demanding action, not treats.
Instead of spending millions managing public anger, use those resources to strengthen border security, enforce immigration laws fairly and legally, improve Home Affairs, and restore public confidence in the state's ability to uphold the law.
Address the problem, not the reaction to it. Secure the borders, enforce the law, and put South Africans first. That is the real solution. @PresidencyZA@SAPoliceService@SANDF_ZA@HomeAffairsSA
