In our latest Storylines Episode, we invited Valley Metro's youngest fan, David, to tour our bus yard. David's love for public transportation, and especially buses, started when he was just 3 years old. He's loves taking public transit everywhere he goes and even encourages his friends and teachers to ride too. Thank you, David, for being our biggest fan! 🚌💜

Our crews continue to work around the clock to restore light rail service following a collision involving a light rail vehicle and semi-truck near 18th St. & Washington. The collision caused a fire and significant damage to both vehicles. Thankfully, all riders and the operator were able to safely exit the train without injury.
We want to thank Phoenix Fire, PD , city departments, and local tow experts for their support in responding to this incident.
Service updates will continue to be provided as they become available.

🚊 Two-line rail system incoming! Train and system testing has begun in and around downtown Phoenix as we prepare for the opening of the South Central Extension/Downtown Hub in mid-2025. Trains will operate intermittently along the northern portion of the alignment. In the coming months, testing will become more regular and expand south to the new end-of-line at Baseline Road.
Remember these important safety tips during testing:
🚈 Follow traffic signals and only cross at designated crosswalks
🚈 Stay alert and listen for warning signals and train sounds
🚈 Avoid standing on tracks—light rail trains are quiet and may approach at any time
🚈 Do not enter the new station platforms during testing as they are currently closed
