Severe thunderstorms are possible late this afternoon and evening. Strong wind gusts up to 90 mph, very large hail up to softball size, localized flooding, and tornadoes are all possible with any severe thunderstorm. #lubwx#txwx

Today, multiple meteorologists and researchers at the National Weather Service were terminated, despite the presence of existing public safety mandates. These professionals play a crucial role in delivering real-time weather data, issuing watches and warnings, and managing the national weather radar and weather model data systems. The workforce was already contending with understaffing challenges, and these recent reductions may further diminish their operational capacity. This development has the potential to impact the timeliness and effectiveness of weather warnings issued for future events. Television stations, content creators on platforms such as YouTube, and various weather applications all rely on these critical warnings.
🚨#BREAKING: Half of Wyoming is BURNING right now!
I bet you didn’t hear a peep about it, did you?
⚠️You'll never guess what they're going after now!
⚠️Nearly 73,000 acres of the Bighorn National Forest are now on fire.
“The previous largest fire recorded in the forest’s 100-year history topped out at around 18,000 acres and took weeks to grow that size. Over the weekend, the Elk Fire grew more than 25,000 acres IN A MATTER OF HOURS.”
BREAKING: The storm surge for Hurricane Milton is expected to be 15 feet.

8PM EDT: This is nothing short of astronomical. I am at a loss for words to meteorologically describe you the storms small eye and intensity. 897mb pressure with 180 MPH max sustained winds and gusts 200+ MPH. This is now the 4th strongest hurricane ever recorded by pressure on this side of the world. The eye is TINY at nearly 3.8 miles wide. This hurricane is nearing the mathematical limit of what Earth's atmosphere over this ocean water can produce.
The people of Florida do not need all of the made up conspiracies and political nonsense right now. The people of North Carolina didn’t need it after Helene either. Whatever crap you hurricane seeding/weather engineering people subscribe to is not welcome on ANY life threatening information that real meteorologists are trying to share. YOU are the problem.
I'm in the Asheville, NC, area right now. Town is still partially without power, expect traffic issues stemming from this (no traffic signals.) The route was clear from Knoxville and did not encounter any of these "check points" that social media is claiming are stealing donations or turning help away. The locals I've encountered are saying they WELCOME ANY ASSISTANCE from the outside world. Western North Carolina still needs help.
I'm near the Asheville Mall and do not have cell signal on Verizon, T Mobile or ATT. There are parts of town that do. It is extremely spotty and poor.
I will be focused on tasks today and not live streaming unless for a specific circumstance such as a supply run.
Watching the potential for some chilly temperatures Sunday night, especially for the northern combined Panhandles. Make sure you and your home is prepared for the chilly temperature ahead. As we all know, weather in the Panhandles can change quickly! #phwx#TXwx#OKwx
Please, please, PLEASE!
Do NOT leave children or pets in a hot car. Here are some temperature readings from inside a vehicle with a silver exterior and mostly light-colored interior. #nvwx#HeatSafety
