@Jordo______@IainMitchell17 🤣 You must have watched some cracking games! In all my years, I have never seen SPACE score a goal. Mark the men in the box, 3 centre halves marking no one is the issue.
@LiamK86@lovenkrandz Ball movement on the first contact doesn’t make it a foul. The foul is actually when he is brought down IMO, second and third contact. Law 12 “•impedes an opponent with contact
“
@LiamK86@lovenkrandz Couple of referees I know, are going to ask the question at the next meet-up. They see the foul as his standing leg being taken away. There is no first contact in the Laws of the game.
@LiamK86@lovenkrandz I disagree. There is no law about “first contact” I keep hearing that & it’s driving me insane.
Players ride tackles all the time. What matters is where the foul actually occurs.
2 things stop the shot: his standing foot is taken & his shooting foot is impeded.
@EwenDCameron@allanbstewart1@RFC_Michael_ Ewen, please explain this first contact reasoning that is not in the IFAB laws. The first contact was not a foul as the player rides it and then his standing foot is taken out? I have asked a couple of referees I know and there is no such thing as first contact….?
@Jas72Boyd No chance, foul is at 10 seconds on your clip. Initial contact did nothing to stop Moore from planting his foot ready for a strike. That’s a penalty.
@EwenDCameron Into a contact sport, the first contact on his calf is not the foul that brings him down. The fouls are the second and third without touching the ball.

@ScotlandSky Football is a contact sport. A foul isn’t first contact — it’s when the challenge becomes careless & actually trips the player.
Moore is wiped out with his foot on the line, that’s where the offence occurs. The line is part of the box.
With the pyramid now set to shift quite a bit over the coming year, I thought I'd take a look back at the inaugural season of the @OfficialSLFL and look at how each side has fared in the 12 years since. 🧶
Edinburgh City:
Edinburgh City didn't spend long in the SLFL. They ended the inaugural season in 5th before winning back-to-back titles and gaining a place in SPFL League 2.
The Citizens would go up again, in 2021/22 but rejoined League 2 last year & finished 3rd this season.
@WingsScotland@frankdr49326393 No it’s not. If you think it is, you have no clue about the game. Anyone from any team trying to say this is a foul is delusional or at the wind up! 🤣
Twitter used to be great because the algorithm could tell I did not want to see tweets from right wing nut jobs like @elonmusk now I have to waste my time blocking these accounts! Great job 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
