We got out of school early one day because there was a massive fire at a tire warehouse a few blocks away. I came out of calculus class and thought the town had been bombed. There was just this immense pillar of black smoke and flame rising behind the school
We rarely do the same when the men of the Bible are discussed. What’s more common is a clean up, justification or an ignoring of these men’s sins rather than a highlighting of them.

In the church we (my experience of Bible preaching) tend to talk about Rahab in terms of being a prostitute & ignore that she married one of the leaders of the Israelites.
It seems whenever women are talked about it’s lead by an emphasis on a negative trait or action. 1/2
