“I was sitting at home when Wally called me up. He said ‘listen, we need an adult in the room,’ and that was it. I just picked up the phone and started dialing.”
Once you’ve admitted to yourself that 5th Place doesn’t make you special, the bar for understanding that no one gives a shit about you becomes incredibly low.
Hey @ForzaHorizon, loving the new game. But could you help a brotha out?
Why can’t I give my player facial hair? Like come on. We should have that by the 6th game.
Also, it would be really cool if we had in game integration for Spotify. I love the soundtrack, but it gets old.
Sucks for the dog, sure. But if an owner can’t keep their animal under control, and it leaves its yard and enters a public roadway, that’s on them 🤷🏻♂️
Just abolish state income tax for all earnings under a certain threshold. Once you eclipse that threshold, tax every dollar earned thereafter after at 10%.
Everything else will sort itself out eventually.
NAILED IT: Jeff Bezos: “A nurse in Queens who makes $75K a year pays more than $12K a year in taxes. Does that really make sense?”
“So people talk about making the tax system more progressive. How about we start by having the nurse in Queens NOT pay taxes? At all!”
“Why is a nurse in Queens who makes $75K a year paying more than $1K a month in taxes?”
“That’s $1K a month that could help with rent or groceries or anything.”
“And by the way, do you know what that all adds up to? The bottom half of income earners in this country pay only 3% of the taxes. It’s only 3%.”
“We can find 3%. So we don’t have... it’s a small amount of money for the government. You know that. And the more I thought about it, to me, it’s kind of absurd that we’re doing this.”
“We shouldn’t be asking this nurse in Queens to send money to Washington — they should be sending her an apology. It really makes no sense.”
Exactly!
Horrible Congressman Thomas Massie put out an old Endorsement, from many years ago, of him by me long before I found out that he was the Worst Congressman in the History of our Country. I endorsed Ed Gallrein, a true American Patriot, which Massie knows full well, so the statement that he put out is fraudulent, just like HE is fraudulent. WITHDRAW YOUR FAKE STATEMENT, MASSIE, RIGHT NOW! President DONALD J. TRUMP
And the majority of Americans on a 5 day work week spend 260 days at their jobs per year to not even sniff $75k a year.
If you need more than $200k for not even a half years worth of work, then you need to budget, make your own coffee at home, and stop living above your means.
Just a friendly warning. We don’t even make $200k per year in Congress despite working nearly 140 days. If we aren’t properly compensated, a lot of us will go to the private sector and you will be left with some real idiots in Congress.
The American Dream doesn’t belong to the highest bidder on Wall Street. It belongs to the American people, who work hard, save up, and play by the rules.
I applaud President Trump’s leadership on this issue and urge the House to pass this bill.
Let’s hope all of these airlines start failing, and maybe that’ll push the US into developing a proper high speed rail system across the country.
Something we should have had for decades now.
Want airfare to be cheaper? Bring in other forms of mass transit.
I am introducing a Constitutional Amendment to end Birthright Citizenship.
Under current interpretations of American law, anyone born on American soil automatically becomes a U.S. citizen, regardless of whether the parent was here legally or not. This is wrong and not at all the intent of those who wrote the 14th Amendment.
We are a country filled with immigrants, and legal immigration is valuable and should be protected. But we are also a country whose borders have been too open and our generosity exploited too often. President Trump has moved to seal our border from illegal immigrants more than any other president.
But we will have more to do.
We need to make sure that only children born to legal residents of the U.S. are automatically citizens. I have supported protecting birthright citizenship from abuse since the beginning of my tenure in the Senate, when I cosponsored the Birthright Citizenship Act of 2011, and now I am proposing an amendment to protect United States citizenship in case the Supreme Court fails to address this issue correctly.
The U.S. government has to refund $166 billion in tariffs, PLUS interests.
Trump said he would be paying Americans checks from tariffs and eventually even replace the income tax.
So now not only are you not getting DOGE checks after he cancelled DOGE, you’re not getting tariff checks and paying the interests back on tariffs collected.
And you are also paying $2 billion a day for Trump and Netanyahu’s war in Iran.
And you are paying on avg $4 per gallon gas and inflation is rising again.
The lack of humility and understanding the struggle of regular Americans is astounding to me.
Trump and his lackeys demand loyalty and name call and bully yet Americans struggle more and more.
A useful way to think about migration is to consider what kind of societies the migrants have built in their home countries and to what extent you would like those conditions replicated here.
