More prayer is always better. Don't you think some people would spend lots of time praying to saints but most would spend very little time asking their pastor or priest to pray comparatively? I get your point and it ignores the way that some see saints and Mary as the step to delivering prayers to God as a routine. This can mean less time or even sharing the credit with them. especially with people who don't have an in depth understanding that saints are intended as helpers and not deserving of the Glory that is God's. Again, I'm not sure it's opposed to God's best wishes for prayer but I have concerns. I mean no disrespect.

A good example of where the concept came from. I don't criticize the practice lightly. Prayer to God is still the direction there. Are saints granted dominion over receiving prayers for certain needs by God or the Church? I don't have a problem with it as just because it's not explicitly in scripture doesn't mean it's wrong. My criticism is being so confident it is right with so little biblical relevance to rely on. I lack God's wisdom and try to be humble. I put the majority of my trust in scripture over the religion of man because we can never fully understand.

I don't want to be rude, I'm just being honest. I don't see any versus that suggest we pray to human beings that will speak to God for us, whom are deceased. There is cases of people praying for others sake for sure but the reasoning for prayer to saints was developed after 500 AD and is an interpretation. I'm not opposed to people believing it makes sense as God did not lay out every detail for us, I just don't see the ideology in scripture the way it is practiced. My concern with it is the reduced focus on praying directly to God because scripture clearly encourages that.

Go look honestly at how the church developed practices beginning later than 500 AD that the original church did not. Look, we won't agree. People have their bias. You can say that these practices are explainable, But saying that the catholic church didn't add on rituals that were not present initially in the church is objectively false. The Bible does not say that saints will speak to God on our behalf. Intercession was provided by the living and the early church leaders never documented that they prayed to the deceased, only honored them in memory as heroes of the faith.

Praying to saints is not biblical. Mary was not declared in the Bible to be without sin. There is no succession line from Peter mentioned. Salvation is not earned through adherence to Church traditions in order to prove your faith is sincere and you are STILL saved. Confession to Christ is sufficient.
