The Senate standing committee on Energy today visited Kenya Pipeline in Mombasa and confirmed the existence of 95,000 tonnes of substandard fuel full of sulphur.

There's a simple question the committee is avoiding and is not asking.

Who is going to be held responsibile for such a scandalous procurement?

Is that fuel just going to be returned without any costs incurred?

Now, this is where it gets interesting.

The committee which did the inspection was led by the Deputy Chair.

The Chair was not present. Do you know who the Chair of energy committee is? Dr Oburu Oginga Odinga.

Was this transfer a coincidence?
