Broke(not rich) and dumb: Works, spends constantly on needless items, complains, blames, buys lottery tickets, wage slave, average person in loop of debt.
Broke(not rich) and intelligent: Works, saves, learns, creates, grinds, invests, then becomes well off.
You cant be apprehensive to adding responsibilities to your plate.
More people become complacent due to a lack of responsibility rather than the inability to handle it.
You can’t grow as a person without challenging yourself. You must proactively create the opportunity to grow.
Since Dec is upon us, outside of thinking about gifts you’re going to buy or receive you should also be setting goals for 2019.
For me its taking my physique to another level by getting rid of my pesky love handles.
If fitness is on your list of things to improve, hit me up.
I don’t tell too many people my plans and my parents are probably the last to find out.
The reality is if you want to attempt something that isn’t guaranteed, most people will advise you to take the safe route.
There’s only reward in risk, not in being safe...
Focus on setting some goals and keeping your head down to avoid stress.
Most stress comes from dealing with other people and expectations of them.
I’ve found my life to be much easier focused on hitting my personal milestones and ignoring/avoiding stressful people.
There’s also no one who can live a “vamp” life or operate on 3 or 4 hours of sleep every night.
They’re either extremely sleep deprived or on prescription drugs that keep you awake for long periods of time but have trade offs that effect mental or physical health.
There’s no such thing as morning people.
If anything there are people who enjoy their occupation/daily activities so there’s no resentment toward early mornings or
People that are motivated to wake up early to pursue things they’re passionate about.
I try to give advice to anyone I can even if they don’t ask for it, bc most people don’t realize the consequences of shitty decisions until someone lays it out for them clearly.
But the reality is most don’t want to be accountable so your efforts may often times be futile.
I’ve found myself trying to rationalize why others make self-centered decisions and act surprised when it back fires.
I’ll never understand idiotic decisions anyway and probably won’t be able to stop them from repeating the same mistakes.
Forget about it and focus on yourself.
Stay focused on what you can control.
Stop thinking about others choices that don’t effect you.
It’s easy to feel the need to validate yourself bc of others choices.
The easiest way to implement this is to to remove influences that aren’t aligned with your vision.
You need to be your biggest motivator, a lot of people look for validation from others or social media to stay focused.
You need to have your own convictions for hard tasks to eventually become easy.
Work now, flex later.
Dont scroll through social media first thing in the morning you’ll end up reading a tweet that made you upset and now you’re heading to work with negativity in your mind first thing in the morning.
Stick to activities that get you in a good mood and find more good days than bad.
I unfollowed a shit ton of people because most opinions/RTs are a negative influence on my mind.
90% of twitter is jokes, complaining, and fake outrage(complaining about problems they never take action to change).
Be mindful of what information you let into your thoughts.
Some of you may think man twitter isn’t that influential to my mind.
I’m positive there’s been a time that one tweet legitimately had you arguing with yourself over why you thought the tweet was wrong...for a good 5 minutes.
You go into the gym feeling tired and sluggish, yet leave feeling like you can climb Mount Everest and arm wrestle The Rock.
Once you have that positive mentality going into a stressful situation it’ll be hard for bs to phase you.
How can you not be ready to seize the day after moving some weight in the gym.
Working out early in the day naturally gives you momentum to be productive.
Chances are there’s nothing you’re going to do at work that is more mentally or physically challenging than working out.
