Vláda by také měla zajistit, že jakýkoli zahraniční subjekt, který by se chtěl podílet na výstavbě nových jaderných bloků v Temelíně, tak bude muset učinit na základě smluvního partnerství, tedy konsorcia s českými firmami z oboru! Účast tuzemských subjektů na rozvoji bezpečné jaderné energetiky v ČR je nutností z ekonomického i společenského hlediska. Konsorcium navíc umožňuje partnerským subjektům sdílet rizika i přínosy a vytvářet tak dlouhodobě synergie. Dear State Secretary @SecRubio, in order to make your idea work even better, condition the US direct aid provided to a country to regular audits, using clearly defined performance indicators. Good aid implementation could get the recipient country a bonus, whereas bad aid management should trigger a temporary aid suspention (to foster improvement) or aid termination.@StateDept @USEmbassyPrague

Dear #AmbMerrick, rest assured that the close friendship and alliance between the Czech Republic and the United States remains, along with our membership in the EU, the highest priority of Czech national interests! Most of us not only applaud the bold reorientation of America's foreign and security policy under the "Peace Through Strength" strategy, but also welcome the salutary end to the woke/DEI policies that displaced meritocracy and common sense from the American paradigm. The quest for and defense of personal freedoms is both a core aspiration and value that most Czechs and Americans continue to share, and we are together ready to defend it offline and online at home, in the EU and beyond. Once again, welcome to Prague and enjoy your first Christmas holidays here with us, among friends!

Dear PM @donaldtusk, no doubt in my mind that the EU and the US are friends and allies, bound by shared history, sacrifices, and values! However, since the end of the Juncker Commission in which I had the honor to serve, something has changed, and not necessarily to the better. The European Commission of @vonderleyen is unfortunately less transparent, and consequently less accountable (cf. CJEU case law in 2024 that highlighted the European Commission's transparency challenges, particularly concerning access to documents and data). Moreover, Freedom of speech that used to be a cornerstone of shared EU-US values, has been/is repeatedly under attack in the EU. Do I need to remind you that not so long ago an EU Commissioner wanted to censure an interview of a US President before this even took place? Or do you really think that the degree of transparency and Freedom of speech with respect to sensitive topics such as the handling of COVID19, corruption and illegal trade in arms in Ukraine, or illegal migration (just to name a few) are dealt with with the same degree of openmindedness on both sides of the Atlantic? Unfortunately, the EU we both appreciate and want to see improve further, is lately not setting the bar high enough. Thus, what we need in order to re-energise our transatlantic friendship and alliance, is a serious dosage of SELF-REFLECTION and mutually uttered hard TRUTH! Methodologically, we urgently need an EU-US Summit to sort out our "family mess". The sooner, the better!!! If we (EU-US) succeed to iron our differences out, we will together come out of this stronger. If we fail, we will go down history as the "fools who themselves had cut the branch they sat on". As long as 'democracy' will be the expression of the will of the majority, building stable political majorities in the EP from the center of the EU political spectrum to the left or to the right, should not be cause for worries. The fact that in the past ten years, policy choices promoted by left-leaning groups in the EP have increasingly shaped, if not dominated over, EU paradigms, is calling for rebalancing in light of the current balance of power. Ignoring reality is not a sustainable option! Ensuring that the EP/EU functions effectively is vital for the Union's survival in an increasingly competitive world!
