Week completed. IST on facilitating from supine to crook lying today then straight back to the ward and used what I learnt on a patient. Enjoying the Normal Movement Training course. Two weeks of Jury Duty now, hope I don’t forget much. 👨🏼⚖️
@PhysioLauraB I’m going into third week next week and I’m exactly the same! My goal has been to take one key thing from each day no matter how big or small whether it’s a treatment technique or knowing where a file is on a computer. #wegotthis
This morning we welcomed all our new Physiotherapy starters to the Trust and introduced them to the updated preceptorship & induction programme (as well as to each other). Some good conversation and hopefully a positive experience to come, welcome to qualified life!🥳
Great day at graduation on Wednesday! Nice to finally meet Ember the physio babba! Excited to start the next chapter at @LancsHospitals in September! Thanks again all at @UoS_Physio 🎓
Aaaannnddd breath! Great day on the Wythenshawe Virtual Physio Student Conference! Really good to see what everyone else has been up to and learn a bit from their placements too! @UoS_Physio#mftphysioconference
Two weeks left at placement on the Bronchiectasis service at Wythenshawe! Very big emphasis on student learning and development here and been very grateful for the help from all the staff in different areas delivering a structured in service programme for students! 💪🏻
PBL1 complete! A fantastic experience on Ortho/Major Trauma. Observed a Hip disarticulation and whole leg amputation in theatre this week. Amazing to see the work the theatre team do for patients! @UoS_Physio#Studentphysio
Week 4 completed on the Ortho/Major Trauma Ward at MRI. Amazing placement and amazing staff. Grateful to be placed here. Finished the week seeing a patient walk the furthest they’ve walked since I started there. @UoS_Physio#Salfordphysio 💪🏻
Well it is confirmed I have no placement for my first placement block this year. A bit gutted but understandable given the current climate. No excuses now with my neuro assignment however 🤔. To everyone else who hasn’t got one, our time will come!
@barrettphysio Thank you Vicki! It wasn’t my group but was the following group after me, it wasn’t ideal seeing some of the responses. We are a resilient bunch at Salford and understand it doesn’t reflect on the majority! Big trust in our lecturers!
Interesting week on Physiotherapy social media world. A timelapse of one of our practical sessions posted to show the world our learning journey being ridiculed by some qualified practitioners. This is not how to be, we need to be better. Constructive advice yes! Ridiculing, no!
