Yea they allow google auth, but it’s not easy to setup, or even find, so SMS is the default. It’s interesting because after you select google auth as primary 2FA, text message say “Moderately Secure,” so why default to Moderately Secure? I’m guessing to get ppl started faster

The tristar chip in the cable is also super important for entering DFU or checkerboard mode on the older devices.
