We are back all over again to Nina Jankowicz’ censorship paranoia.
Today @tiktok_us censored another post on mine. The fourth since January 6, all of them flowing without problem in all other platforms, including @x and @Meta. Here is what I did to deserve the ban by @TikTokPolicy:
The first clip censored was a critique of the Presidential Medal of Freedom being delivered to George Soros (characterized by TikTok as “Misinformation” although circulating in all other social media platforms).
The second was a clip of Trump’s speech at the WEF (labeled as Hateful Behavior, although later reinstated), the third one was a clip of a Vox congressman making remarks on @POTUS speech at Davos (censored under a more blurry “Community Guidelines” label).
Finally today they censored a fourth clip, this time it was a one-minute fragment of the @elonmusk interview with Joe Rogan, specifically when they said that Dr. Fauci funded the virus gaining functions in Wuhan. This time censorship took a different angle: “Integrity and Authenticity”. Really?
However, after submitting an appeal based on not accepting the ban, they took off the mask and revealed why they really censored the Rogan-Musk clip initially justified under the argument “Integrity and Authenticity”:

“We do not allow inaccurate, misleading, or false content that may cause significant harm to individuals or society, regardless of intent. Significant harm includes physical, psychological, or societal harm, and property damage.”

So, the arguments on the interview that @joerogan did to Elon Musk were inaccurate, misleading and/or false. I did not add anything to the clip other than highlighting in my text the logic substance of the interview: Paying for a virus gaining functions is paying for increasing its lethality.
I do not care anymore about my account in TikTok. What does matter is to ask ourselves what are we trying to save here? The right of 170 million Americans users to be censored as we did under the Biden’s pandemic state of exception?
My conclusion: For TikTok to be worthy that the Trump administration save them from the SCOTUS rule, there must be first a radical change, not only in its policies but in the regime of property itself.
Something of the grade of what happen with @Twitter in 2022 must to happen in TikTok, or we will be just giving an extension to another platform with the same old Maoist culture of censorship.
