Despot Uhuru Kenyatta failed to impose Raila Odinga as president in 2022 and BBIFraud when he was the head of state, head of government, commander in chief of the Kenya Defence Forces, head of Mungiki, head of NIS, head of all killer squads and the Chief Looting Trillionaire, yet idiots now believe that he will make them president as a retired despotic president with stolen trillions of shillings to his name.

45 years of marginalization and sabotage cannot be eradicated by 16 years of devolution which allocate less than KES 2 Billion for development among millions of people. Even without corruption, it would take time.

The problem is obviously compounded by corruption at all levels of our society, both levels of government and in all counties.

Historical, systemic and institutional marginalization’s and discriminations can never be eliminated through slogans, propaganda, dehumanization, or tokenism.

The so-called equitable payments under Kenya’s devolution regime are still too meagre and subject to abuse to make a significant difference.

Very few countries around the world have managed to unveil structural, institutional and pragmatic initiatives to address marginalization. Unfortunately, Kenya is not one of them.

Those making noise about devolution neither understand it nor have a proper appreciation of the extent of the developmental issues which face communities which have been MARGINALIZED for decades.

Attempts at shouting down those of us raising this important issue will neither make it disappear nor silence us. Fortunately, those of us who are ideologically clear and committed to revolutionary changes are immune to intimidation and threats.

Anyone who claims that 45 years of deliberate MARGINALIZATION could have been eradicated by 16 years of devolution under our current arrangements is either ignorant, genuinely stupid, tribalist or all of the above.

I’m not interested in those who live in denial; those who are driven by primordial hatred; or those who believe, wrongly, that they can never be marginalized. They are too intellectually fragile to appreciate this discussion.

KENYA IS BEING LEVELED UP UNDER PRESIDENT RUTO:

President Ruto is among the few Kenyan leaders, alongside the late Prime Minister Raila Odinga, who have truly recognized that Kenya’s level of development remains far below its potential, despite the country’s immense capacity to leapfrog forward.

We must believe in ourselves. A nation endowed with such vast resources—especially its human capital - has the capacity to lift millions out of poverty through deliberate planning, sound policies, and a clear vision for shared prosperity.

Even though we all know that at least 6 roads are under active construction in the Lowlands, including Mbita-Sindo-Kiabuya-Sori, yesterday's images from a remote corner of Subaland are a reminder that the reality of marginalization is still not fully appreciated across Kenya.

Fishing towns such as Nyandiwa, Sindo or even Mbita Point should be thriving, supported by good roads, reliable electricity, clean water and other quality public amenities.

Instead, many have endured decades of systemic neglect and decay - a normalcy that is now being disrupted by President Ruto's deliberate posture on grounding equitable development across all regions of the country including those that previously suffered decades of neglect and marginalization.

If Kenya is to rapidly transform and achieve the high standards of living already being enjoyed by other Africans in this same continent, we must embrace and match the boldness at the very top.

Kenya is being leveled up under President Ruto, and the goal must be to ensure that this transformation reaches every corner of the country as is happening in Nyanza and other regions across the Nation

Therefore as a People, in President Ruto's tenure, while we Breath, we Hope. This, answers Homa-Bay County's and of course, Nyanza region's current Clarion Call for TUTAM.

BEYOND THE DUST: HOMA BAY'S LONG ROAD FROM MARGINALISATION TO TRANSFORMATION

The dust on the Mbita–Sindo–Kiabuya–Sori corridor tells a story. But it is not the story of a people who have failed. It is the story of a region that has waited far too long for the infrastructure required to unlock its potential.
What was billed as a tour of Homa Bay by Linda Mwananchi ended up doing something its organisers did not intend: it highlighted the very tribulations our community has been fighting to overcome. Rough roads in parts of Suba South became a visual metaphor, and a source of ridicule, for Homa Bay's exclusion from development (including by their main sponsor). For the people who live along these roads, however, their condition is no joke; it is a daily reality that shapes access to markets and services, the cost of doing business, and the pace at which communities can develop.

Homa Bay has lived with this reality for decades. Since independence, the county, like many others across the country, has been evidence of a structural deficit that stretches from God Odiado in Siaya to Wuoth Ogik in Nyatike, shared by Turkana, Maasailand, Western Kenya, the Coast and other regions that have waited since 1963 for a fair share of the republic.

These regions have experienced acute economic marginalisation reflected in an infrastructure deficit far greater than what their population, resources and potential should have allowed. Those roads have their origins in independent Kenya, and their neglect spans every administration: fifteen years under Jomo Kenyatta, twenty-four under Daniel Arap Moi, ten under Mwai Kibaki, and ten more under Uhuru Kenyatta. It is a matter of historical record, not grievance for its own sake, that the roads Linda Mwananchi's cameras found so remarkable are the same roads generations of governments chose not to build. The Mbita road itself tells that story in miniature: first awarded in 2016 under the Uhuru Kenyatta government to Put Sarajevo, it stalled for lack of allocated funds, with only 7km of its 74km completed. It was re-awarded in 2020 and again saw little progress. In the last two years, 28km have so far been tarmacked, with works currently ongoing. It is important to note that a 74km trunk road is not something that devolution or CDF can address.

However, devolution matters. Some would ask what devolution has done? It is devolution, championed for decades by leaders including Raila Odinga, that has begun to give counties like Homa Bay a say over their own development and a share of resources once concentrated at the centre. This has turned the case for correcting marginalisation from a matter of goodwill into a constitutional guarantee.

We are not embarrassed by that history. If images of rutted roads earned Homa Bay comparisons to conflict zones, we take that as a badge of honour to our marginalisation and resilience, not an insult requiring our silence. We are convinced that these roads would have been tarmacked decades ago had Tom Mboya and Jaramogi Oginga Odinga remained in government. Jaramogi was forced out in 1966, Mboya assassinated in 1969, both on a path toward the presidency. Raila Odinga, many believe, would have delivered that infrastructure as president, but when Kenyans elected him, that mandate was denied to him by force. That history is why the current moment deserves to be judged on its own terms, not dismissed as political theatre.

FISH, FRESH WATER and GOLD, which are abundant in Nyanza and Western regions, are some of the most valuable natural resources (if not the most valuable) in the world. More than coffee or tea.

But the reason they have never been DEVELOPED and UTILIZED to develop Nyanza and Western whereas coffee and tea have been used to DEVELOP the Mount Kenya region is due to PLANNED, INTENTIONAL and DELIBERATE marginalization, economic sabotage and discrimination by successive Kenyan regimes since 1963.

These are irrefutable FACTS.

We are not condoning corruption, which afflicts all levels of government and society; but the condemnation of corruption cannot be a license to distort history and misrepresent documented historical facts.

What should surprise people is not that Nyanza and Western are under-developed; it’s that DESPITE more than 60 years of deliberate brutality, repression, marginalization and discrimination, children from Nyanza, specifically, continue to compete with PRIVILEGED children from Mount Kenya in virtually all spheres of intellectual pursuits.

Instead of denial, vilification and mockery, those pretending to be virtuous and progressive should be expressing horror at how long and extensive the marginalization has been and commit to the struggle for EQUITY and SOCIAL JUSTICE for all.

Telling the truth is a revolutionary act.

Central Kenya/Mount Kenya received the Lion’s share of development projects between 1963 to 2013.

Luo Nyanza received ZERO development. It was a national government policy.

ON TOP of that, after 2013, following the introduction of DEVOLUTION, Central Kenya/Mount Kenya region started receiving allocations like all other counties like Homa Bay.

Consequently, one cannot expect Kiambu, Nyeri, Murang’a, Nyandarua and other Mount Kenya counties which received PREFERENTIAL treatment during Jomo Kenyatta’s, Daniel arap Moi’s, Mwai Kibaki’s and Uhuru Kenyatta’s TRIBALISTIC and INEQUITABLE regimes to be at the same level of development as Luo Nyanza counties which had received ZERO development budgets for more than 45 years.

Regarding corruption: Absolutely ALL county and national governments are and have been corrupt. Without exception.

Gladys Wanga is not more corrupt than Susan Kihika or Anne Waiguru, for instance. Wamatang’i is not less corrupt than James Orengo or Anyang’ Nyong’o. The only difference is that Waiguru, Kihika and Wamatang’i are governors of Mount Kenya whose region was developed at the expense of Luo Nyanza region for more than 45 years.

This is like comparing Uhuru Kenyatta’s children with children of peasants in Homa Bay if those children were given Kshs 100,000 to start a livelihood. Anyone who makes such a comparison is both idiotic and dishonest. One set of children start off with TRILLIONS of LOOTED public money while the second set of children start from poverty.

Similarly, William Ruto is corrupt, but he is NOT more corrupt than Jomo Kenyatta, Mwai Kibaki or Uhuru Kenyatta.

IF we want to eradicate corruption, abuse of power, the culture of impunity and the inequities which have ravaged most people in Kenya for the past 60 plus years, we must stop deception, selective amnesia, hypocrisy and historical revisionism. We must tell the truth, the whole truth, nothing but the truth.

Mocking and laughing at Homa Bay county and its people is insensitive, childish, tribalist and callous.

Linda Bandits has exposed itself to be just another KANU, PNU, Jubilee, ODM and UDA. Its leaders have failed to legislate for the people. They have failed to oversight the national government and county governments. And for governors like Orengo who has been an MP for 50 years; a cabinet minister under the corrupt grand coalition government; and Siaya governor for 4 years, he must show us the high quality infrastructure he has built in Siaya, how he has delivered services and accounted for the tens of billions of shillings Siaya has received since 2022.

The same applies to George Natembeya who was a brutal and thuggish County Commissioner under despot Uhuru Kenyatta and has been governor for Trans-Nzioa for the past 4 years.

I was in Form One when Orengo was an MP. Gladys Wanga was in primary school! Let’s be serious.

If the Linda Bandits were honest, they wouldn’t be wearing Raila Odinga’s images on their t-shirts while mocking a governor he imposed on the Homa Bay people. Caroli Omondi, an ODM MP, whose constituency the dusty road is in, shouldn’t be yelling at Wanga. Orengo himself was imposed by Raila as the Siaya governor. If they are serious, they must renounce Raila Odinga and stop claiming, hypocritically, that they are the embodiment of Raila’s legacy of dust. They must stop playing Raila’s songs at their functions. Let them be honest and distance themselves from Raila’s legacy. And as they do that, let them also resign from ODM and go back for fresh mandates. Only then can they claim to start afresh.

Shouting WANTAM and TUTAM is not vision. It’s not a manifesto. It’s not a transformative program for the people.

Only a revolution (which the Linda Bandits and UDA thugs fear) will liberate Kenya.

We will deconstruct all of you 24/7 whether you wail or crawl back into your shallow intellectual caves.
