We’re still in our BRAT summer by sharing our new RNA resources! Improved understanding of RNA over the years has led to huge developments, such as creating a COVID vaccine that saved millions of lives. Learn more in our new fact sheet! https://t.co/f0bpvxV1ov
@JPFsci You can read more on @JPFsci 's lncRNA work on @biorxivpreprint and in his thread below! His work on prostate-cancer associated SChLAP1 includes both detailed 2nd structure analysis and some cool insights into conservation and retroviral insertions!

I’m so excited to share our updated work on structural characterization of the lncRNA SChLAP1, currently available as a pre-print on bioRxiv. A thread below

Ultimately, our data suggest that these insertions may function alongside non-retroviral regions within SChLAP1 to facilitate prostate cancer metastasis.
And yes, that's THREE HLab PhD's in 10 days!!! 🍾🍾🍾 Congrats again to Justin, Emily, and James!
With @KamillahKassam, I will have the honor of hooding 4 wonderful PhD scientists and people in May. Perfect example of why I love this crazy job.
Friday we celebrated Dr. James Falese @JPFsci , HLab PhD #13! 🍾🍾James has been bravely leading our first lncRNA structure-function project for the last few years and made chemical probing a standard assay in the lab. Look for more exciting news from James very soon!
A spotlight session on noncoding RNAs starts in half an hour, with talks on lncRNA structure and regulatory roles, and the non-coding transcriptome in sugar-challenged kidneys.
